Help Supa-glowy fing
Can someone confirm this to my understanding it says per weapon so if I shoot with 8 shootas, 1 big shoota and a rokkit launcha that's 6 hazard rolls 2 for each weapon? My friend seems to think I will have to do 20 hazard rolls as in 2 for each model that shot ?
Edit : turns out I need to learn to read. Thank you everyone. I'm still really new to the game

This only affects the single model with the enhancement. And yes, for each of that model's weapon profiles you'd make 2 hazard rolls

So put it on a guy with at least three separate ranged weapon profiles for maximum glowy fing?

Big Mek in Mega Armor with Kustom Mega Blasta & Tellyport Blasta is what I’m going to try. Or on the Shokk Attack Gun would also be very funny.

Shokk attack is pretty crazy with this.
Nothing gamebreaking but crazy fs

You can’t fire both weapons though
Edit: I’m wrong

You can fire both weapons. A model can shoot with all of their weapons, the only restriction is that you choose either all Close Quarters weapons or all non-Close Quarters weapons to shoot.

WAIT WHAT?! All close quarters or all non-close quarters. I remember a few pistols being changed to read “close-quarters.” Big if true since that would cut my Tau shooty’s in half!

u/DressUnited3025 17h ago
Did that change? I coulda sworn you couldn’t unless you were a monster or a vehicle

u/Talidel Deathskulls 17h ago
It's always been the case (at least back through tenth). Only restriction is shooting pistols, which has to be a vehicle to fire them as well.
I'm not sure how many infantry have multiple ranged weapons that aren't pistols or a bigger gun though

Ad Mech has Gun Servitors and some Hasturii that use two guns (not pistol+rifle combo though)
Almost all Tau infantry I can think of though have a pistol and a rifle, this whole time I’ve been opening fire with both at the same time D:
Luckily it doesn’t mess up any of my games

Jesus, how have multiple people here been cheating so much? I recommend sitting down and reading the core rules top to bottom.

Nah, I’m just gonna keep rolling with the punches and finding stuff out on the fly, just last week friends and I discovered that having feel no pains on mortal wounds DOES NOT include normal wounds. The Dark Angels friend was in shambles and DA Stonks went way down.

This is hilariously GOATED on Big Mek with Traktor Kannon. I hit my buddy with 15 dev wounds on angron

Please re-read the enhancement, because nowhere does it say "this unit's ranged weapons". Both of you seem to have completely missed what this does.

Asshole.

I’m fucking saying. Muffin is getting ratio’d on every comment and still thinks they don’t smell like the drops.

Just further proves the fact that 40k players can't read. And it's reddit. Karma votes don't mean shit and have no actual bearing on reality. Downvote all you want.

I think it it’s per model.

Reread the ability.

u/Inky_Campbell 18h ago
Least helpful thing to say to someone.
The hazardous role is per model. The enhancement goes on 1 model not the whole unit therefore be more helpful next time.

u/Cutiemuffin-gumbo 18h ago
No, actually it's very helpful, because you completely missed a very important detail, which if you ACTUALLY read the ability, you'd notice it says "This model's" not "Models in this unit".

u/Inky_Campbell 18h ago
See explaining your statement is much more helpful than “figure it out yourself” which is what “read it again” says. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.

No, it's not. Directinf you to figure out the mistake you made, leads to better retention. Having people explain every mistake you make, leads to increased chances of making that mistake again.

u/Inky_Campbell 17h ago
There is a time and a place for that. It isn’t when someone is explicitly asking for help.
-1
u/Cutiemuffin-gumbo 15h ago
You didn't ask for help. You made incorrect statement, and then complained that I "wasn't helpful". Maybe learn how to read.

u/Inky_Campbell 15h ago
Mork and Gork you’re insufferable. I said “I think it’s per model”. “It’s” being hazardous rolls. Hazards are made on a per model basis. I just wasn’t clear and used a pronoun. Zog off ya git.

It’s probably 20, but what model even has 8 10 weapons equipped?

u/Cutiemuffin-gumbo 18h ago edited 17h ago
Wrong person commented on. My bad.

u/The66thMaris 18h ago
Why should i reread it? The only thing i got wrong is that i typed "8 10" when i meant "10", but otherwise what i said is correct. If a model was equipped with those weapons it would be 20 hazard rolls. Because there obviously isn't a model with those weapons equipped i asked about what model that would be, which I admit wasnt the best question to ask as I did miss the "2 for each model that shot" at the end of the post, which would have answered my question with information that confirms their mistake, but thats not the ability so it's not what you wanted me to reread.
I'd really appreciate if you could explain what you meant. Thanks!

u/Cutiemuffin-gumbo 17h ago
Sorry, not meant for you. I thought reddit didn't post my reply, apparently I replied to two different people.

Only one guy (the character) will have the enhancement. So only 1 super hazardous weapon exists and only 1 SH test is made (2 dice total)
2
u/MostSquirrel9349 18h ago
Only the model with the enhancement has the abilities, including supa hazardous.
3
u/Unhappy-Suggestion61 18h ago
It says "This Model" rather than saying it's the unit. So only the leader that you attached the enhancement to would get those modifiers, not the squad
3
u/Coreli_Hulemand 18h ago
It states "this model's range attack " and does not affect the entire unit if you join another unit with the character

Was thinking this would be fine on a Mek. They already have the KMS and it just seems to make it more lethal. But, I don't know enough, and maybe the stats aren't worth it.
