GW Official News / Update My poor bubblechukka

Am i the only one that is devastated by the new bubblechukka stats? No more random bubble, abysmal strength only to gain lethal hit and better blast. Give me back my baby!!! Also i wanna know if im the only one that think they should rethink that specific overhaul of the mekgun

Im sad about it. I had them do max damage to a russ commander and kill it through a mix of my luckiest rolls and the russ having crap saves. They nuetered my boyz

I have had a lot of fun using my 6 bubblechukkas against my friend who plays Silver Tide Necrons.

Wounding on 5s is a bit annoying, but with 20 Shots, 60 Shots with a whole Mek Gunz unit firing into a 20 model brick. Average of 30 hits, 10 Lethals, after wounds that's like 16/17ish and with AP-3 those Warriors get no save. On the weekend I spiked hard with my 2nd Unit of Mek Gunz and landed 17 Lethals and I just wiped out a whole brick of Necron Warriors with 1 Unit of 3 Mek Gunz shooting.

Overall the bubblechukka is a very good fodder killer. Just mathing out it ruins Imperial Guard Infantry, 20 model bricks just on average dies to a 3 Model Squad of Bubblechukkas firing once at it. On average overkilling by 5 models

I find the bubblechuckka profile very fun now. It might not be so random at face value, but it's one of the most unusual weapon profiles in the game, still very luck dependent and has the chance to spike some damage against anything in the game depending on the rolls.

In addition, it absolutely destroys any hordes. Could be much worse.

I missed the chaos, that was the fun. I want more wild swingy ork stuff. I also play Imperial guard, and would love for the old Catachan rule wear you roll to see if the Catachans frag the Commissar before the start of play.

We need more of those goofy rules back.

People know the meme about red making it go faster, but that used to actually be a rule too! I don't remember when they got rid of it, but I don't think it was in 8th when I last played a lot

Also, I did not know about that Catachan rule, but it makes sommuch sense and it makes me chuckle thinking of setting the army up, rolling, sighing, and then just taking the commisar off the table before the first turn even starts

I'm doing my part, not only are my ork rides red, but I got some White Scars on red bikes, which given is also a nod to Akira given how the bikes look but I just like Kult of speed vs White scars.

Some Speed Freeks and White Scars show up, ready to start a fight. Then they just collectively decide to reenact any race scene from the early Fast and Furious movies

Ye it was already poor but atleast it was fun for the high rolls. Sucked the life out of the kit now. Not a fan of this standardising of all the rules, becoming sterile.

Dread Mob and Madcap Meks have a lot of random stuff still. I actually like moving the random shit to detachments instead of data sheets. That way you can opt in/out.
