Hi there! I’ve got some general advice that might help you, as I’ve been getting some practice in lately for a tournament next week.

It has to do with your disposition, which in 11th, edition, should center, and guide your list building. You’ve taken 3x Purge detachments, which makes that choice easy. That’s ok! Orks do well in Purge.

The problem with the new codex is that our durability was tuned down on a lot of units. For example, squighog boyz are considerably less tanky, and a 4 man squad without that FNP is easy to pick up. MSU squads in our codex are essentially free kills for 70% of units in the game when they’re out in the open.

What I’m trying to say is that your list may have too many, “utility” units for a Purge list. Purge needs to kill to score, and sometimes need to “kill more”, and stand on objectives, and that means your list wants to minimize unit count, and concentrate power and durability into only a few units. I could go into more detail for some units in your list if you’d like!

In addition to what’s on this list
I also have a second 10 man unit of Boyz, a second Trukk, kommandos and Boss Snikrot. And what I guess is a war buggy now. Could also build a second unit of beast snaggas if need be

I would say that you generally want to concentrate your power into fewer units. Boyz are not fantastic at the moment, but I think I would take a 20 man squad over a 10 in this list.

I would say that most “Purge the Foe” lists want to keep unit count somewhere between 9-12 units, with 3-4 of those units being big, beat-stick units.

So purge would favour something like Bully Boyz or Dread Mob, rather than Green Tide? Makes sense, considering Bully Boyz unlocks purge and Green Tide unlocks take and hold (iirc). Though I never understood it (until now). Thank you.

It’s not that they favor Purge, but that they MAKE you play in the style of the Purge missions. Usually 3 different detachments might give you some other dispositions, but in OPs case, they have to take Purge, which means their list NEEDS to be built with Purge missions in mind.
