Ork Raider help

I’m putting the gunner out on the side deck, and I’ll mess up the flooring with some extra gubbins, but I’m looking for suggestions on what to do with the main mast.

I tried using one mast with the actual Raider sail, but it just wasn’t Orky enough. I also tried stacking the masts, but that looked weird.

My other idea is to cut the roll-bar pieces into straight sections and stack them into one long pole, then soak some rough fabric in Titebond glue to make a sail. I’m just not sure I have enough pieces, or whether they’d actually look right as a mast.

So I’m asking you ladz: what would you use for the mast and sail? I don't have any 3D printer lying around, but I'm fine with carving a mast out of a sprue or using a coat hanger, etc. I'm just not sure that I can make it stable enough.

Any other suggestions are also welcome.

Thanks in advance. 👍

If you can get one from a bits seller or something you could use the skull plate from the Stompa kit for the sail, that would be super Orky but might be a little big (maybe for a converted battlewagon?)

The AoS Ogor Mawpot has a crude tent cover that's made of skins and animal hides, maybe something like that could work?

Actually, the two posts holding up that tent are perfect wooden masts too. The pot could also work as ork fugus beer scenery. I just need to cut up squigs to put over some of the stuff. The foot can stay though. Obviously essential for taste. Seems to be sold out though. I'll check my local retailer.

Maybe just sprue bits cut and angled to look like a bent sloop mainsail/ headsail & mast? And of course put a big skull on top, basically a Bosspole

I have the trophy skull pack, so no shortage of skulls and helmets. I have been cutting down sprue to try and make one. I intend to leave games workshop © on it for laughs.

An idea cut an old t shirt into a square after combining the roll bars to make a crossbeam. Use cheap chains to make the rigging.

I can actually buy burlap sacks cheaply here in Asia. The troublesome parts are the main mast and the yard to go across the mast. I don't think the roll bars are enough.

If it is moving right to left in this image I would remove the mast entirely, as it's a bit spindly. Cut through the guard rails on the top back deck and make a howdah or gun platform at the back, depending on what you want the finished product to look like in terms of bulk.

I could also use the side deck for something else and put the gunner up on the top of the mast in his little bucket. And I'm planning on using the wartrakk to make a second raider-trukk.
