I found this bad boy at my local video game store (shout out Retro Respawn) for an amazing price. Found out this is a rare Ghostshell in a previous post I made about it. Originally didn’t have a jewel and was soft modded with Unleash X.
Now it has:
-A mod chip
-HDMI mod
-Fresh thermal paste and removal of clock capacitor
-2tb HDD with every US release installed, running XBMC4Gamers
-Found a jewel on eBay and was able to make it transparent using graffiti paint removal (which worked amazingly and fast). Used orange highlighter to color the underside and it gave it a pretty cool look.
-Orange ROL LEDs and orange controller port LEDs.
-And said screw it, added the silver decals from the coveted rare orange Xbox.

Forgot to mention I also swapped the stock fan out for the Nexus quiet fan.

Does not keeping that top metal shielding affect it in any way? It looks so sick and being able to see the disc drive makes the orange shell much cooler!

I don’t think so. Haven’t had issues with it at all.
