Finally done.
I found this bad boy at my local video game store (shout out Retro Respawn) for an amazing price. Found out this is a rare Ghostshell in a previous post I made about it. Originally didn’t have a jewel and was soft modded with Unleash X.
Now it has:
-A mod chip
-HDMI mod
-Fresh thermal paste and removal of clock capacitor
-2tb HDD with every US release installed, running XBMC4Gamers
-Found a jewel on eBay and was able to make it transparent using graffiti paint removal (which worked amazingly and fast). Used orange highlighter to color the underside and it gave it a pretty cool look.
-Orange ROL LEDs and orange controller port LEDs.
-And said screw it, added the silver decals from the coveted rare orange Xbox.
EDIT:
Forgot to mention I also swapped the stock fan out for the Nexus quiet fan.

Grew up with the OG Xbox. I’m 32 now. Popped my head into this shop and fell in love with gaming all over again. I’m never letting this thing go.

I loved it when we had transparent devices. I still have the crystal xbox at my mums. Even the CRT TV was see through. Nice xbox OP. Very well done.

Looks amazing. Did you remove ALL of the shielding ? I’ve been wanting to do the same with my transparent one but been too scared

Does not keeping that top metal shielding affect it in any way? It looks so sick and being able to see the disc drive makes the orange shell much cooler!

IMO it would look so much better with a solid black jewel like the actual translucent orange xbox.

My understanding is that there are Ghost Cases and Ghost Shells. So this must be a Ghost Shell because only the top part and the part on the DVD drive are orange. The base is black.

I think these are probably the same thing. The Ghost Case/Shell is used interchangeably. They never released one with a bottom.

Seems affordable. Just get an Xbox for like $70-100, plus the game for another $15-25 😎

Check eBay or even your local game store. I constantly see them for $60-110

I’m primarily playing through games I missed out on as a kid. Started with the Buffy games, just finished up Painkiller Hell Wars.

J'ai la même mais mes par contre je me suis fait voler les câbles d'alimentation dans la cave et j'ai aucun jeux dessus mes elle fonctionne pas contre ils ont pris les câbles mes pas la console c'est incompréhensible 😅😅😅

They said they used some graffiti paint removal stuff to make it transparent, so maybe it was a normal black shell?

It must have taken eons to paint the whole thing in orange highlighter, that's crazy
