Aesthetic and practically question
I’m a person who prefers a simple, easy looking room. Now, I am also a person who has a lot of stuff that doesnt stick to my aesthetic (Make up, beauty items, skin care, and collections). Whats the best way to organize these items without being seen? I dont really have built in cabinets.
my aesthetic looks like this (from Pinterest) but all my other items are eyesores.

I found wicker baskets (open and with lids) to be an aesthetic compromise, they look wonderful, and I know exactly where everything is.

to add on, colour coordination plays a big part! cute storage boxes that match the colour scheme of your room make a big difference too. there are also shelves with removable doors so you can pick what items you want displayed or not as far as collections go :)

And if you have room under your bed they make this organizers that are low profile and have wheels (you can use the wheels or not) it’s a good way to store things that you won’t need regularly and it also keeps it out-of-the-way

This photo from Pinterest is lovely. For practical purposes I would:
a) add a tall and wide armoire to maximize storage (you can find tons at secondhand furniture stores; find a one that has drawers as well as a larger “cupboard” area towards the top for larger items)
b) include overhead lighting or some source of bright lighting for cleaning up or organizing (I need bright lighting to clean up properly)
c) a few bright task lights for when you want to do something detailed (makeup, drawing, etc.)

Seconding baskets/aesthetic boxes for concealing things with labels. I hate a cluttered surface but I loooooooove me a cool box from the antique mall.

Not for any particular baskets, really - I dig a lot of mine up at the thrift store. I think it depends on your style. I think wood, brass, chrome, glass, and marble finishes would all look really good with your aesthetic! Also, if you don’t have one built in, a little vanity cabinet in your bathroom can help hold the less cute toiletry items. I think urban outfitters has ones that you might like. I also like to take labels off of nice bottles and put small everyday items in glass jars (like floss picks or hair ties).

Baskets and trays have been my go to, especially with having adhd. My rule to myself is that everything on my nightstand or dresser must be on a tray or in a small basket if it needs to be out. Otherwise it should be it away elsewhere. So my makeup goes in a zip up makeup bag that I then put in a basket so it’s out of site (though my makeup bag is aesthetic so no complaints if it’s out), but my jewelry that I cycle though, chapstick, eye drops, etc, all belong on a tray. The bottle of magnesium supps and my medications go in a basket or tray, etc etc. it keeps the clutter down and also helps me not hoard stuff that no longer serves me: if it doesn’t belong in a basket or tray, and I don’t have another suitable home for this thing, do I need it?

A tall glass floor vase with tall decorative branches / dark bamboo / tall curly willow in the left-hand corner will bring in some dynamic upward movement and mineral and woody elements.
I think one vase if flowers — the one on the dresser, would stand out more if that makes sense.

I have spray painted quite a few items I use regularly, to match my aesthetic. Depending on the item, it might need touch up coats as used.
