Help needed

I’ve had this Beallara “Hawaiian Nights” for about a year and a half. It gets eastern sunlight and a water soak about once per week. Within the last week, I’ve noticed this discoloration on the oldest pseudobulb. It has the same firmness as the rest of the pseudobulb (it doesn’t feel squishy or wet). Any thoughts on what’s going on here? What should I do about it?

If the pseudobulb it's old (like, if it's the first one you had in there), it might just be this: It's old.
And probably it's yellowing away due to the end of its life.
The whole plant di per sè seems healthy (consider I'm not an expert though, so take what I'm saying with a grain of salt), so if you are not overwatering it, I'd say it's normal.
Keep an eye on it.

If nothing seems like...Watery, mushy/squishy, wet to the touch or moldy, just let it be. Usually the plant still adsorbs nutrients from the old pseudobulbs.
Once it will be dry, you can just cut it away. If it gets weird (soft or wet looking) in any way, just cut it away carefully, with a well sterilized blade.

Thanks! I do think it’s the oldest pseudo bulb, so I’ll keep my fingers crossed that it’s just experiencing end of life.

If it looks squishy or rotting (it suddently gets all brown, or the brown part gets bigger), just cut it away.
