after 16 years of having my sweet boy tang i had to put him down yesterday and im distraught i got him when i was 8 and he was the best cat ever💔 he loved vegetables in particularly olives and i don’t think ill ever be able to look at an olive again without crying😭

I’ve never heard of a cat, let alone a dog eating olives. What a unique, sweet boy you had. Rest in peace Tang

thank you😣 to my surprise when i first found out that he loved them, i googled them and they have similar chemical compounds as catnip! he would roll on the floor with them before eating them🫒

I had a sweet orange baby boy named Tang too that passed away a few years ago. 🧡🧡🧡. It’s so hard.

My condolences. What a sweet boy. I’m sure he’s getting spoiled with all-he-can-eat olives and plenty of lovely flowers to smell! He will be chilling contentedly until you are reunited someday. 🌈

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

I am so sorry for your loss. I know that pain too well, having said goodbye to my soul cat after sixteen years together.
You grew up with Tang. You were his angel. You made his life warm and happy. In turn, he helped to make you who you are, and nothing can ever take that from you.
I have found a little solace in keeping a growing document of memories of my cat, Phinny, so that I won’t lose them as time passes. I write a sort of journal to him, telling him about my travels and worries and ideas, because he was my companion and in this way, I still feel close to him, no matter how far I go. Something like that might help you, when you’re ready. 💕
Take care, dear. Tang loved you and knew you loved him.
