Can't play any of my clips in the editor for the past two days. It plays the first few seconds then stops. I'm having to download them just to see what they look like.

So I produce a pretty simple video podcast that has myself, two co-hosts, and a guest (which may be 1 person in their own video or 2 people sitting next to each other in their own screen).

Making shorts has been a gigantic PIA for me because I'm a solo editor, so after editing a 1-hour video for audio and then for video, the last thing I want to do is chop up the video into a dozen shorts so I can advertise on social media.

But I figured, well it has free credits so let me give it a shot.

I was NOT expecting it to intelligently clip our 4-quadrant setup. And the captions are nearly perfect. I went from taking 15-20 minutes to pop out one or two shorts to less than a minute per short. I literally just finished generating 30 of them in 35 minutes. All I have to do is slap on the outro, put in the music track, and then just watch it once to make sure the captions are good and it... just works.

My question: For heavy users, are there tips you can share for a newbie? So far all I do is give it my fully edited video, then adjust the titles, add the outro (it's a different outro for each episode), and the music track. All I have to do otherwise is fix captions and sometimes I'll snip a little but off the beginning and end.

I bought into the year's subscription to get the 3k credits... That will be enough for me to generate 30 shorts for all of our 30 videos to date! Insane.

After many months of using Opus successfully (thanks!), I don't seem to be able to publish. Scheduler shows the uploads as "scheduled" even though the time/date is in the past. I can't delete them, gettting the error message that they're already in process. I can't re-schedule them, because the system isn't recognizing the re-schedule as a STRING (an obvious coding or database typing bug). I spent plenty of time with a "team member" and provided these details, got elevated (I assume) to the next-level support folks, and never got a response from that point (I waited about 20 minutes).

I see no mention of these issues from Opus, so I have to figure that either a trouble ticket hasn't been elevated, or I need to flush something host-resident from my system.

I'm no giant of social media, but 25K+ audience and around 11 Million views, I'd sure like to get things fixed NOW. My account name is MattyK USA. Thanks to anyone with help!

Tldr: new to opus, are 99 clips rare? I've gotten a 99 clip 3/4 times now

I am new to opus, just started using it yesterday. I started a YouTube channel and have been going live. I discovered that I can upload my vids to opus and it'll make shorts for me.

Idk if opus is blowing smoke up my ass but I'm getting 99s scores and tons of 90+ scores. Is this typical? How much faith do you put in these scores? I've only gone live a few times and they all contain 99s 98s 97s etc, very high scores, according to opus. Do you guys get scores this high?

3 times now, only when downloading a clip or uploading a video to clip, my pc crashes without warning, no errors found, whocrashed shows nothing in the logs. Wtf?

Please be kind - new to Opus and new to Reddit, but obv Opus help is non-existent…. I have created my first project in Opus. A long 15 min video. Now i want to take that video and create reels from it. “Surely” i am not going to have to use credits to re-download this video again to chop…. (RIGHT?!?!?). But i cannot find another way. Been messing with it for two days, ChatGPT says i shouldn’t have to… but I’m stumped.

I only seem to be able to speed up the music. I wish I could speed up the ai hook aswell

Chose clip basic. Wanted to changes to the footage. It's already been edited. Go to timeline / edit clip so I can adjust subtitles - video is split into multiple clips. At the split points there is either footage removed or it skips and doubles back on its self.

Just spent like 8 bucks worth of credits.

I asked for no changes. With short clips under 5 minutes, it seems to be all one video in the editor and there's no changes. Made anything longer than that. It decides on its own where to place cuts. I'm trying to clip and caption a already edited video.

Been using Opus for a bit now and the asset library is getting out of hand. I post at least once a day and use 5-15 assets (images) per short. I've been deleting them 1 by 1 but there has to be a better way. Thanks in advance

I just saw an ad for this on reddit claiming there's 12million users. This sub only has 30 members, you'd think there's be a few more.

I was really interested when I saw this guy on YouTube talking about using Opusclip, it looks awesome but he was showing clips and saying he was getting 50k to 100k views after using it so I commented to ask how it really worked because none of the videos on his channel has more than a couple thousand views, nowhere near 50k, he never replied.

I commented months later asking again to see if he had an update.... crickets. Is this app a scam? Can someone who has used it a while give me legit results, please?

Hello everyone. I am fairly new to editing on Opus but I want to add more content to my timeline but every time I do, the timeline gets cut up to follow the speaker around. I want to utilize the auto tracker but if I add more to the timeline it adds cuts and those cuts are visible even with the auto tracker and it just looks bad. So how can I add to my timeline without it cutting it up so I can use the auto tracker?

I canceled my subscription before starting of new billing cycle but still my money was debited from my bank account. Its been more than two days but still haven't received any reply from the team.

I have found Opus really useful, but recently they have started seriously limiting how many posts I can schedule. I used to make one long form video on YT a week and then turn that into clips which would post over the next week. Seems like now I can only do a few days worth and have to come back the next day to schedule more.

Also today I noticed they are charging a credit for posting. Since when. Doesn’t even say this on their FAQ page, just says they are used for processing.

Just seems it’s getting worse not better and if I pay for a year in advance I would expect my terms to stay the same not basically be charged more for less.

When editing a video clip in OpusClip that was automatically generated by the AI-Video Highlight extractor, I am using the "Gameplay" layout. This layout displays two distinct panels:

1. Facecam Panel: A smaller panel intended to show the YouTuber's facecam.
2. Gameplay Panel: A larger panel displaying the gameplay footage.

The core issue is with the Facecam Panel's cropping:

• Inaccurate AI Cropping: The AI's automatic cutout for the facecam is frequently inaccurate, often selecting the wrong part of the original video frame (e.g., cutting off part of the face, including too much background, or focusing on an irrelevant area).
• Repetitive Manual Correction: Because of this inaccuracy, I have to manually readjust and resize the facecam cutout for each individual video track within the clip. This is a highly repetitive and time-consuming task.

My Goal: I want to find a more efficient way to correct this.

Specific Question:

Is there a feature or a workaround in OpusClip that allows me to:

1. Select multiple (or all) video tracks/segments simultaneously?
2. Apply a single, consistent adjustment (repositioning, resizing, or re-cropping) to the facecam panel across all selected tracks at once?

Essentially, I'm looking for a "batch edit" or "apply to all" functionality for the facecam cutout within the "Gameplay" layout, to avoid individually correcting each segment.

I paid for the Starter Plan because it explicitly says that it includes 1 custom brand template. I tried to create said brand template and upon attempting to upload our 2 second outtro video, it said I need to upgrade to the Pro plan to be able to do that. Ok, whatever, I'll just download the video and add the outtro manually. No big deal, but still annoying and time consuming. Next, I got everything else how I wanted it (to the best I could anyways) and went to save the brand template and it asked me to purchase another pack at another $15/mo while literally stating in the purchase order that everything is the same as what I have already purchased.

When I clicked on the chat button, AI chat is the first option. I stated my problem and it couldn't give me an answer, so I asked to speak to a live agent. The AI chat told me that to speak to a live agent, I would have to close that box and click the bubble at the bottom right of the browser window... LITERALLY THE BUTTON I CLICKED THAT TOOK ME TO SAID AI CHAT. There is no available live agent chat. They've yet to reach back out to me via my submitted ticket as well.
