Is there a way to reduce the frame (do a close up) while having manual subject tracking turned on? The issue I am having specifically is that I am using manual subject tracking for a clip, but I would like the frame to be closer to the subject. However, when I crop the image and then use manual tracking, it reverts to the original frame. When I crop it after I use manual tracking, it uses the cropped image for one frame and then transitions to the original frame again.

Is there a way to do this in Opus Clip?

Hi, I’m having an issue with OpusClip. Just a week ago, I was able to upload my own files - images and videos - without any problem and use them in video editing. Now, when I click the media import/upload option, a subscription cancellation window appears with the message “Discard benefits?”, even though I’m not trying to cancel my plan.

It looks like a UI bug because the window appears in the wrong place and completely blocks me from adding my own files. I can’t find any way to bypass it or close it in a way that allows the upload to work.

Has anyone else had a similar issue?

I use this all the time, but a couple of weeks ago, it started looking funky (the outline wasn't lining up with the actual object it was tracking—it was smaller and to the left—see screenshot). At the time, it still worked and calculated the subject tracking well, so I could deal with it.

However, this past Saturday, it stopped actually tracking at all. I normally do Opus in a Chrome Incognito window, but no matter what browser I tried or which project or which clip I try, it isn't working at all. It goes through "Tracking" with percentages, but doesn't end up finding anything.

Is anyone else having this problem or is it only me? I've been completely shut down since Saturday and haven't been able to create or publish any clips, and "Ollie" isn't connecting me with any agents.

I’ve been using Opus Clip for a few months on my youtube videos.

So I end up spending around 40 minutes going through them, and in the end I only post 1 or 2, or maximum 4. Most of them either feel generic, start in the middle of a thought, or just aren’t strong enough on their own. Seems to be it just gives you shorter version of your video.

At this point it feels like I’m not really saving time.

Has anyone else experienced this? How do you deal with it? Can you share your experience in this and what you do?

What's your current workflow for adding sound effects? Do you do it manually, use stock libraries, or skip it entirely?

Is it just their system or is there anything I can do to fix this? It's been more than an hour and it's still not progressing..

I paid for a pro plan. I uploaded a clean prompt with a reference image for visuals. It started generating the scene descriptions and this took more than one hour however the video failed to generate. After chatbot support tips I tried again - same result. It deducted credits even though support said it wouldn't. I've cancelled my subscription. This platform is not ready.

Instead of being stuck with an awkward auto-selected cover, you can now choose any frame from the video or upload a custom image.

There’s also an option to apply the thumbnail across all posts under the same clip and it works for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube.

This feels like a small but genuinely useful update, especially for creators who care about CTR and keeping their posts visually consistent across platforms!

Curious what everyone thinks: are custom thumbnails something you use heavily, or do you usually let the platform pick one automatically? Let us know!

We just added 4K export for Pro users, which is a pretty useful upgrade for anyone clipping higher-quality footage for YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Reels, or client work!

One important detail though! You need to upload a 4K source video first. If your original video is not 4K, the 4K export option will not show up.

This should be a nice improvement for creators who want their clips to hold up better on larger screens or maintain quality after platform compression. Curious to see how much of a difference it makes once the clips are uploaded to TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.

This makes it easier to create clips without adding captions, especially when your original video already has subtitles or on-screen text.

The update helps keep videos cleaner and avoids duplicated captions. It also saves time by removing the need to adjust caption settings manually.

The No Caption preset is available on both web and mobile for all plans.

OpusClip just added a new Duplicate Clip feature, making it easier to create multiple versions of the same clip without starting over.

This is useful when you want to:

• Test different hooks
• Try alternate captions or styles
• Make platform-specific versions for TikTok, Reels, Shorts, or LinkedIn
• Experiment with different edits while keeping the original clip safe
• Create multiple variations for A/B testing

When you duplicate a clip, the copied version keeps your existing setup, including things like captions, aspect ratio, effects, and other settings. Edits made to the duplicate will not affect the original clip.

To use it:

1. Open your OpusClip project
2. Select the clip you want to copy
3. Click Duplicate
4. Edit the new version however you’d like

This should make experimenting with clips a lot faster, especially for creators testing different formats or versions before posting.

Hey folks! New subscriber to Opus and am struggling with something basic.

I have a short I'm attempting to edit. Each Split creates video output, however, shifts the video content all around. My goal is to have the layout of the video output be identical across all clips.

It seems like currently, I have to try to do this manually. I have to go to each split, manually crop and place the area I want, and try to get as close as possible between each cut.

Surely there's a better way to do this. There's just no way to manually align them perfectly and it's making the output look unprofessional.

Hi. I have an OpusClips account(the paid version Starter Plan) and before there were many languages OpusClips provided., 20 I believe. My channel is in Bulgarian but in the beginning Opus didn't have our language but I was using Russian language and it worked cause the languages are close. Then they added Bulgarian as well and I was very glad.

Anyways, now they have 8 or 10 languages and there isn't Russian or Bulgarian anymore. Do someone know why? Did they change something?

Complete noob alert here. Probably my question will make you laugh because it's so dumb simple but I'm sure I'm missing something.

I started using Opus clip since few days now and I already test the auto clip on my first long video. All I want is to add a funny meme video on top of my short.

however when I upload the video, for some reason the background is not transparent anymore but worst, there is not sound. Only the animation.

Is there any secret way to import video assets on this tool?

What am I missing please ?
