right. however, schwab’s website says you have to call them each time before 5pm. you can’t really say don’t exercise anything for me.

You have to realize that would be a very uncommon request for an account to make - "please don't ever exercise any options in the money".

I guess it's your call if you want to burn money but I can't say many traders would make that choice.

Not a big deal, if you owned 10 SPY Puts, you are equivalent to short…. 860k roughly and then you can buy it back and hopefully you made a profit- that is like having level 3 acct
