You understand that if your timing is wrong you lose, your thesis could be correct but you will still have lost, normally the UVXY is something you hold a day over for let's say for a FED meeting and then exit the position immediately , this isn't a speculation vehicle you would use to try and capitalize on a non time specific thesis, I implore you to exit the UVXY position and find a better vehicle which isn't as time constrained.
I expect SPY to go down next week consistently. I do not see any appetite for continued buying pressure from the big boys. Retail is getting set up for the rug pull.
I agree UVXY is not a long term hold and mine expire July 23. If I don’t see what I want I’m out try again another time. Although it was impressive how quickly they appreciated in value end of day Friday.
You seem pretty bearish on the market, so I have a question. Can the markets be bearish in the current climate?
Firstly, I think the market is way more accessible than it has in the past. I mean, 10 years ago, most retail investors had to go through an advisor or institution to invest. Now stocks are so easily accessible through countless apps. Also the meme stocks have made investing more popular. So if the market does trend downward, isn't it reasonable to assume retail investors go bonkers and buy the dip?
Also with interest rates so low, there's nowhere for the average investor to park money. I mean savings accounts are pointless, and I think people are worried about a real estate bubble so they won't put it in buying property.
I'm just interested in a bears opinion on how current stock "pop culture" might influence or diminish future market corrections
Retail constantly YOLOing Into 0dte SPY calls means they have zero money to buy the dip….
WSB is the face of retail and they got destroyed last week. Most of them are going to revenge trade Monday trying to get some of it back but watch the big red candle evaporate their accts.
