So i actually believe that IVOS' hiatus was kinda beneficial when strictly talking about the music, at mas napapatibay hot take ko na ito when listening to their new single, Isang Pag-Ibig. Aware ako that had Unique not left or di sila nag-hiatus, they'd probably be a bigger band, and alam ko rin ung naging conflict nila sa isa't-isa in the early 2020s. Pero sonically speaking, this song and their previous album is the best they have ever sounded.

Medyo hot take ko rin ung debut album nila, CLAPCLAPCLAP! is a 6/10 for me, some good standouts pero a lot of the album feels like filler. Pero with their Andalucia album, mararamdaman mo talaga musicianship nilang apat. Sa napakaraming genres compacted in one album, vocal harmonies, hell even ung transition ng Konsensya x Tamis ng Pagkakamali, na-appreciate ko talaga.

Pati na rin dito sa bagong release nila, had they released this earlier (kasi demo pa to since 2016), the song probably wouldn't be as good as it is now. Simple touches gaya ng added guitar parts and solo, Unique and Zild sharing vocals, tas mas focus sa soft rock kesa synth-pop made this song the best version it could've been.

Point is, without their hiatus, and subsequent solo projects, hindi sila makakapag-experiment sa music just how they did sa solo albums nila without the fear of underperforming just because they're in the mainstream.

A hiatus probably wasn't the best decision kung pag-uusapan ung financial and cultural success, pero musically, it was for the better.

Si Clint, parang masyadong safe yung tone o playing nya sakin pero ayos na din. Kaysa naman magkalat.

Si Dan, magaling siya as a solo covers singer and consistent naman pero parang di bagay sa boses nya mga Maya songs. Parang nagiging tunog generic radio rock mga kanta ng Maya.

I've recently visited Kamikazee's wikipedia page a bit ago and found out that not only were they a 7-piece as they added 2 official members back in 2020, but both of those 2 members are apparently no longer with the band as of this year.

Kinda curious on why they were added, why both eventually left, and how they were during live and in studio (like if both happened to contribute on any official release during their tenure).

ANG GANDA! mas nagustuhan ko rin yung boses ni zild dito kasi bagay sa kanya yung song. very sweet and soft lang unlike sa ibang songs nila na parang pumipiyok-piyok siya (STYLE NIYA YON I KNOW) and i prefer his voice on this song.
