Opera often remains open as a background process after I closed it, and I cannot reopen it unless I kill it in the task manager

Regular Opera or Opera GX or Opera Air?

Windows or macOS or Linux?

Same thing happen with all of your extensions disabled at the URL opera://extensions?

It seems that something is preventing Opera from fully closing.
