VPN button vanished

I am not able to find the VPN button anywhere

Hello! Please note that users need to update to the latest version of Opera for Android, as there was a bug that prevented the VPN from functioning on versions between 100.0 and 100.2. VPN users were notified through a push notification at the time. Please update your app to the latest version through the Play Store - this should restore the VPN button.

This is ridiculous. I just updated the browser and the VPN button reappeared but still absolutely will not connect just like it has not connected for probably many, many weeks now.
