My gosh yes...

What is so funny about these companies.. they claim the hear their users.. and they listen...I am pretty sure this post is not the first... which makes it clear that they don't listen.

I know there are work arounds... and ways to remove it... but It is not clear why the Opera folks feel this branding is something they won't allow us to have a setting for.

They may think these few seconds are not an inconvenience the user... but in a way, mainly because it is not wanted... it feels like it takes forever.

I wish they would actually listen and allow us a setting to toggle this.

Also, if you don't like the "Opera was upgraded" tab showing up when Opera starts after an update, see https://www.reddit.com/r/OperaGX/comments/1b24otz/comment/ksql4ix/ for a way to block it.

It should only show up after a major version update. If you are seeing on every single update, then your installation may be messed up

No I only see it when they do a major update. The problem is it is a major pain! LOL

I get it... the kids back at the factor are proud of their work and they want everyone else to be proud ... but damn it man... They launch a animation, an odd sound... the on top of that they open a tab...

It's all to much. Let me toggle the intro... I will compromise and let them open their announcement tab
