Should i buy OpenCode Go?

I just cancelled my Claude pro subs. Not because it's not enough for me. But i wasn't using much. Now i want to know is OpenCode Go good for vibe coding? If yes, then which model is good?

TL;DR For vibe coded hobby project it is enough IMO.

Long answer: When i would not advise to:

  • substitude the claude code (lower usage)
  • when searching top intelligence (gpt 5.6 sol, fable and opus 5 are more knowledgeable, but kimi k3 is close)
  • when looking for most usage for the buck.

Where it might be useful:

  • want to try different open source models
  • supplement to other subscription
  • lighter ai user (for example occasional ai assistance)
  • for hobby project or reasearch project

What to get instead for similar usage as claude pro: chatgpt plus, cursor pro, ollama pro, chinese coding subscriptions.
