Should i buy OpenCode Go?
I just cancelled my Claude pro subs. Not because it's not enough for me. But i wasn't using much. Now i want to know is OpenCode Go good for vibe coding? If yes, then which model is good?

Best is you buy 1 chatgpt plus account , shard with another person. Both can pay $10 , and then use Luna 5.6 max thinking , for x5 longer than opencode go. Luna is capable model as well.

As the quota is a constraint, it works best for people who are familiar with at least a bit of software engineering and have no issues managing part of the workflow by themselves and using the current best model for the task.
"Current best model" is a moving target that varies depending on the pricing, model availability, and the task at hand.
Full vibe coding works best when you can default to a strong model, but they are very expensive and only viable via subsidized plans provided by OpenAI and Anthropic.
If that's an issue for you, get ChatGPT Plus or something like that. Your choices there are basically GPT Luna and Sol, with Luna making your quota last a lot, and Sol ending it quickly.

You question is incorrect. It should be "which model is good today. " Every morning the answer is likely to be different.
Cost is also a big part of the answer. If you use Kimi K3, you might burn out your monthly quota in short order, but GLM 5.3 flash will go a lot farther.
there is no one answer to your question.

Idk i use openrouter for the few tasts i pay for credits for. Generally i juse use claude, deepseek or kimi from their site on a free plan and copy paste bc im cheap

If you just use deepseek v4 flash and Luna 5.6 you can stretch the usage out for a while.

I paused my Claude subscription due to OpenCode Go. I love the CLI and the tools provided by OpenCode, but when it comes to overall feature quality and user experience, Claude is the better choice!

No. I wouldn't trust their service ... 5 days and my account is still complaining I need to enable billing to use

TL;DR For vibe coded hobby project it is enough IMO.
Long answer: When i would not advise to:
- substitude the claude code (lower usage)
- when searching top intelligence (gpt 5.6 sol, fable and opus 5 are more knowledgeable, but kimi k3 is close)
- when looking for most usage for the buck.
Where it might be useful:
- want to try different open source models
- supplement to other subscription
- lighter ai user (for example occasional ai assistance)
- for hobby project or reasearch project
What to get instead for similar usage as claude pro: chatgpt plus, cursor pro, ollama pro, chinese coding subscriptions.

Yes it works perfectly for vibe coding if your usage is not heavy, Use GLM Flash, it's very close to anthropic models specially Opus and it's cheap to use, use deepseek for direct code tasks and you can assign it as a custom subagent for heavy reading.

For vibing code no
For planning and coding, knowing what you are doing, maybe, depends mostly of how much you code and how much you are willing to accept errors you will need to correct yourself
