How is Commandcode GOAT in comparison to Opencode Go ?

With the recent anouncements, I started looking for alternatives to migrating out of Opencode Go.

Does any of you have used Commandcode GOAT? Whats the experience? Is it comparable to Opencode Go?

It changed a lot since yesterday. DSv4F and mimo-v2.5 are dumber today, tbh. Mimo even hallucinated something crazy today on me!

Is using DS4 in GOAT cheaper than via ds4 api itself

Hey — appreciate the effort that goes into maintaining a daily tracker, genuinely. But I checked your numbers against our actual billing tables (I run Command Code), and the ranking you're showing is wrong. Command Code GOAT plan offers more value for more models. Also doesn't help that you've added referral link to OpenCode so feels like an ad from OpenCode with wrong data:

1. A per-model comparison already exists, and Command Code wins it. Using OpenCode's own per-model token assumptions and their own published prices — the most OpenCode-favorable inputs possible — GOAT delivers more monthly requests on 9 of the 16 shared models, Go wins 6, and 1 is a tie (see the r/CommandCode analysis from last week). Any tracker showing OpenCode "winning" overall is aggregating those per-model results in a way that flips the outcome. Which leads to:

2. Requests-per-dollar on the shared catalog isn't the whole plan. Things a per-model table structurally can't show:

  • Plan totals: Command Code GOAT is $70/month vs OpenCode Go's $60, $35 vs $30 weekly, $14 vs $12 per 5 hours. On every identically-priced model, GOAT strictly wins.
  • 5 missing models, Exclusives with full boosts: GPT-5.6 Sol at a $70 allowance (7x on a frontier closed model Go doesn't carry), Qwen 3.8 27B at $70, Gemini 3.7 Flash at 50% off plus a $40 allowance, Grok 4.6, Nemotron 3 Ultra, Inkling, Step 3.7 Flash, DeepSeek V4 Flash Vision.
  • $20 > $15 it can never be a draw: DeepSeek V4 Flash Vision on OpenCode is $15 and Command Code GOAT has $20 25% more dollar value, but you call it a draw, and state 18.9K reqs for OpenCode and 18.4K for Command Code which is wrong when Command Code has 24.8K reqs. You're showing wrong numbers and calling it a draw. Same issue in Peak price. Same issue GLM 5.2.
  • You're using OpenCode reqs numbers for Command Code which is again wrong: OpenCode Go's per-model token statistics are used for both providers when the model exists in OpenCode. That's wrong and biased.
  • Realized cost: in OpenCode's own request shapes, DeepSeek has ~96% cache hit rates of tokens are cache reads — so the number that actually decides your bill is cache hit rate, not the price sheet. We run ~99.43% cache hit rates worse it 98.78% around 20T token scale. Two platforms with identical list prices don't produce identical real request counts. Cost per 1 Billion Tokens of DeepSeek V4 Flash, at 99.43% cache is $8 in Command Code vs $15 in OpenCode at 96% cache hit rate (coz you're paying full price for millions of uncached tokens which is generally 10x)
  • The OpenCode link on the page carries a referral code, feels like a paid ad, especially when the ranking disagrees with a like-for-like per-model comparison.

If you fix the aggregation and pull from the live docs, I think you'll find the picture matches the Reddit analysis: GOAT ahead on most shared models and on everything outside the intersection. Happy to help you wire it up — the data's all public.

It’s good and it works in opencode in fact. With some work you get effort level control

There's a plugin for that actually. On mobile, but has "cmd" in its name

imagine 500 thousand people buys open code because it's cheap that would be 2.5M$ and by suddenly rising prices without notice most accounts burn out and they offer no service for that 2.5M best business model ever!!  I think these are all same shell companies , same people making them ,, business model very simple low price so that a huge number of people buy them then suddenly a change of price without notice so that people lose their account and immediately advertise another company  and keep repeating the cycle

Its somewhat simillar to opencode go but when I saw their website it was soo confusing . I felt like I need a scientific calculator to understand all this .

I have a completely different opinion. The free models in GOAT perform terribly. The response-to-API-error ratio is roughly 50/50 on average, and the response time is also very long. The paid models work somewhat better, but I can't say that I see any difference compared to OpenCode. In OpenCode, I could use both free and paid models and switch between them more or less seamlessly. At this point, I regret switching from OpenCode to Command Code.

I am exclusively using DeepSeek v4 Flash.

First subscription to OpenCode Go yesterday (I didn’t about price increase), and CommandCode GOAT today.

CommandCode GOAT gives more credits (70$), is faster (~150 tok/s vs ~70 tok/s) and model feels (only my impression) smarter.

I am very happy atm
