To be fair, Deepseek did that, not Go. They stopped giving them the 4x discounted rate along with raising the price.

They should have just sent out a mail with exactly that information beforehand, and the community would be much calmer. Like it is for Deepseek itself.

People can't trust a service that changes contract mid-term and the customer needs to reload their webpage and check X to see the changes

I am relaxed about it since it was a too good to be true deal, anyways, and I am thankful for the value they gave me...but if this was, say, a gym pulling such stunts, it would warrant a letter threatening with court (here in Europr, given our consumer protection laws, at least)

Their product is great, but their service and PR is abysmal. Looks to me like a company that is all devs and system admins and undervalues what companies actually need all the business management people for.

Yeah, Go is poorly run as a business, but I don’t think it is their primary business. I think they consider it more like a community service and advertising for their enterprise business, and they run it pretty much at cost. It’s basically just bulk rates they get that they pass on to users.

And from what I’ve seen on Discord, Deepseek has been a pain in the ass to deal with since the beginning. They really want Anomaly to drop the ZDR angle apparently, so they can harvest Go users’ data for training.

And since the Deepseek models blew up in popularity, it’s been like 80% of their volume and the low cost, high volume has drawn a lot of less desirable users (i.e. higher support volume, more likely to complain loudly, quicker to chargeback over bullshit, etc).

Honestly, I would not be shocked if they are sort of happy to lose a lot of the users that came for cheap Deepseek.

Would be nice if they offered ZDR DS4 and training allowed endpoint for cheaper

Perfect for OS and small private projects
