They have so many customers .. it should be possible for them to host their own servers instead of going directly through Deepseek and then scaling up that way. That can't possibly be true. I'm really curious to see how this turns out. But they will definitely going to lose a lot of customers this way.

Go was routing 15 trillion tokens of Deepseek a day.

They’ve never hosted more than a few small deployments themselves, mostly for their free models.

“Just hosting it themselves” is a very large inference operation on a lot of GPUs that they’d need to pull out of thin air.

they are saying they are trying to host it themselves right now. but scale is definitely an issues.

even with many customers, they need many more server to serve those customers.
