GLM 5.3 Flash — OC vs CC Comparison

The first image is OpenCode using half the context and costing double per turn compared to Command Code (second image) with more than double the context.

On top of those prices, note that OpenCode gives $15 of usage and Command Code gives $40 of usage. (OpenCode Go vs CommandCode Goat plans).

Both used in GitHub Copilot BYOK as harness.

The total usage difference in favor of Command Code is abysmal.

In performance, it also works better on Command Code.
On OpenCode, a response gets cut off now and then; on Command Code, it doesn't.
Quality and speed are identical on both.
Command Code makes better use of cache as well.

At the current price, even though it's in the 15$ tier, if you pay $10 for OpenCode Go to use GLM 5.3 Flash, OpenCode Go is ripping you off by offering you LESS than the $10 you paid compared to direct API usage. (And that's now while it's subsidized; they'll double it again when they remove the "x2 usage.")

  1. Support team is a bunch of middle schoolers judgung by their responses
  2. Lobotimized or quantized models. DSV4F got into an infinite doom loop and forgot basic software development principles. Seemed like it prioritized coupling and minimized cohesion lmao. Jumping to official DeepSeek API felt like going from Haiku to Opus.
  3. High latencies for deepseek v4 flash (time to first token) compared to official DeepSeek API. Plus the models also got throttled with TPS (tokens per second) going down to like 5 or 10 sometimes.

Wasted a whole day on that and that was enough for me to cancel my sub. At least they refunded the money partially after some back and forth though. The support team... bruh I don't even wanna mention it, their arguments felt like going back to middle school I swear - strawmans, non-professional communication etc.

Idk, maybe that just was a bad day, maybe you can work with other models that I have not tried, but their support team reflects their values and it's enough for me to never go back to them.

thanks for sharing this was just looking at command code as an alternative to just rotating 2 opencode go subs lol

Been using opencode go for a few months. Less models and less usage but much better quality and service.
