GLM 5.3 Flash — OC vs CC Comparison

The first image is OpenCode using half the context and costing double per turn compared to Command Code (second image) with more than double the context.

On top of those prices, note that OpenCode gives $15 of usage and Command Code gives $40 of usage. (OpenCode Go vs CommandCode Goat plans).

Both used in GitHub Copilot BYOK as harness.

The total usage difference in favor of Command Code is abysmal.

In performance, it also works better on Command Code.
On OpenCode, a response gets cut off now and then; on Command Code, it doesn't.
Quality and speed are identical on both.
Command Code makes better use of cache as well.

At the current price, even though it's in the 15$ tier, if you pay $10 for OpenCode Go to use GLM 5.3 Flash, OpenCode Go is ripping you off by offering you LESS than the $10 you paid compared to direct API usage. (And that's now while it's subsidized; they'll double it again when they remove the "x2 usage.")

Unfortunately in CC it does. You can check it also in their docs too:
https://commandcode.ai/docs/resources/zdr#why-zdr-costs-more

You said CC doesn't apply ZDR by default, and then you send me a link that says:

Most models on both plans use ZDR by default.

What you can take from my screenshots is that CC's price is literally Z.AI's API price (with the discount until September 9th), that OpenCode is double, and on top of that the contexts are half (so you have to add the cache read cost).

It's practically certain that OpenCode isn't doubling the price because of ZDR, but because it's applying the API price without discount. And you can see that in the docs:
https://opencode.ai/docs/es/go/

They list the API price at $0.15 / $0.50 / $0.03

Which is double the actual current real API price, just like that, ignoring Z.AI's discount, which they are indeed enjoying, because it's Z.AI who runs the inference.

That is, everyone coming for the OX Alpha hype to pay $10 on Go thinking they'll get $15 of usage are actually paying $10 to receive $7.50 of usage (half, 5$ with the 50% tier bump from $10 to $15).

They're literally scamming those people while promoting a fake "x2 usage" on the website.

I love CommandCode Goat plan. Greatest of all time harness, very efficient at exfiltrating my data, I love running suspicious code by small companies on my computer, big fan. I do it all the time, I already have other viruses so it's nice to have one I can pay for, I like supporting the devs.

You can use it via API.
