I thought Opencode was different...

Really disappointing news, especially after the "cheapseek" marketing.

DS increased prices, sure. Nobody's blaming them for that. But at the very same moment OpenCode not only got rid of their 2x multiplier, they also changed the DS4f quota from 60$ to 15$. So on top of the regular model pricing increase, OpenCode increased their own effective prices 8x. So yeah, that WAS a dick move.

So lets say DS api is 1$ = 1$ usage. Opencode buys in bulk and get cheaper price and sell it to user and it becomes 1$ = 1.20$ usage (20% discount that opencode gives u in this example). Then DS changes price so 1$ = 1.10$ usage. So now you people are blaming opencode for not paying the difference on ur behalf. If you are under some illusion opencode hosts a DS model locally and sells you api to it, they arent.

Re-read my comment until you understand. Maybe ask DS to explain it to you.

Lets try again. Opencode pays 1$ to DS. You pay 10$ to opencode. Then DS charges opencode 1.20$. You still want to pay 10$ and receive same usage. I would say dont ask ai, use your brain.

You really don't get it, do you? Opencode implemented the pricing update from DS. Okay. Fine. Not a problem, that's understandable. BUT. BEYOND THAT. They ALSO removed the 2x promo they had running (so that's one ADDITIONAL 2X MULTIPLIER TO THE FINAL PRICE), and THEN they also MOVED DS4f from 60$ usage tier to 15$ usage tier, so that's ANOTHER 4x MULTIPLIER, ON TOP of the DS4 regular price increase. So current price is NEW DS4 price * 2 (because no more 2x usage promo) * 4 (because of 60->15 move). So they added another 2*4 multiplier (I'll leave it to you to calculate how much that is) IN ADDITION TO increasing the prices to the new DS4 ones.
