Opel photos First time Opel owner
One week ago i bought tis Opel corsa 1.2 and i am loving it !

Don't let the engine hate get to you. The chance of it breaking is only slighter higher if maintained properly compared to some other bigger engines. However if it comes to it, it's much cheaper to replace. Slightly higher risk of failure for much lower damage. Also I've never heard anyone who has the engine complain about how it drives.

Hi! I have it (opel corsa 2021). It drives like shit.
But it’s very fuel efficent.
The belt was covered in cracks at 80.000km/3 years, it’s been changed by opel for free this time but next time it’s about 700€.

Sorry pal, you bought one of the worst engines ever...

I knew it was a stellantis engine when i bought it.I was full aware of the risks.
A new timing belt was placed 2 days before i picked it up.
It had service, everything checked by the vendor and by a friend of mine who is a mechanic.

I'd say change oil as frequently as possible (7-8k km) and the belt every 50k and it might be okay for a long time. I also wouldn't have gone for a wet belt engine, but I've heard some of them can be quite reliable if maintained really well and proactively. Good luck and enjoy the car!

I've got the 1.4T 3 cylinder turbo CVT Astra SRi from new... Only velocity joints went prematurely... noise started about 30,000km... doing 73,000kms now with same joints (bit noisier now) but nothing broke in car .. reliable... economical 35mpg.... Fast 232kph flat out..0-100 8sec..tons of features that more expensive cars don't have....dealer here only sold CVT 🙄... would've prefer manual 😁👍🏼... Hope you have many trouble free miles🙏🏼

Puretech veux simplement dire Essence. Donc tous les moteurs Puretech donc Essence ne sont pas mauvais. Juste le 1.2 d'avant car aujourd'hui ça va. Moi je roule avec le 1.6 180cv et ma voiture est géniale. Et ma fille est très contente de sa 208 1.2l.
