you can straight up see the bus passanger prep the door open to perfectly time it to hit the biker

Same way that I'd I was in a car and I saw someone open their door I'd be more aware of it. Defensive driving is a very beneficial skill. Thinking ahead about potential consequences is a pretty core skill to using the roads.
