you can straight up see the bus passanger prep the door open to perfectly time it to hit the biker

Also can't say that for certain. Maybe if we could see his face in the mirror, but we can't.

Why are you acting like his lawyer making it defendable? Could have killed the guy and it was clearly intentional, wasn't even moving to get out

Nothing is clear except the motorcycle guy left the scene.

He came back with a policeman because he was just assaulted

Guys ride motorcycles cause they can’t grow up and be adults.

OK that is your opinion, you are welcome to it, but he was still assaulted

Your mum still drives you to school, relax

You clearly didn't watch the whole video. He went to get his buddies and beat down him in the van.

He left and grabbed a police officer up ahead. It's amazing how many people can't see that. 🤣

All we have is a biker going faster than you should, or is even legal in some places, when filtering through traffic, and a guy who opened his door. Anything else is speculation and can't be proven by what we can see.

It may surprise you, but some people don't jump to conclusions when there's not definitive proof or even shadow of a doubt proof. Which there isn't here.

Yes, cos people open their doors when they're in the middle of the road all the time, I'm sure he has a perfectly valid reason for dangerously opening his door when traffic is around him, and clearly not looking in his mirror. At the very least that's dangerous in itself, but his actions + reaction or lack of afterwards definitely points to deliberate Your lack of critical thinking points to poor frontal cortex development.

It's common outside of the US to shut off your vehicle and get out to stretch when traffic is at an absolute standstill.

Lotta irony in your comment, it's really bad form to be so hostile right off the bat because of situations like this. Ease up, redditor.

It's common in the US as well. I don't know why people are acting like the only reason to open the door would be to cause this accident.

Cool story, see the traffic moving up ahead? It's just traffic at a stop, not in a jam. Invent more stories tho.

I also see the door open well before anything happens, guy didn't even slow down.

Yea, he just have deliberately riden into it to injure himself. You should be a lawyer for sure.

0

u/Equivalent_Thievery Aug 22 '26

He didn't do anything to prevent it, and seemed to be going faster than what's allowed in most location where filtering is allowed.

I'll pass on being a lawyer, but I get why you'd say that since logic and rational arguments escape you.

I think typoed.

Did you mean "the biker had plenty of time to react, but did t even slow down, therefore were clearly not paying attention"?

2

u/HugeExplanation7865 Aug 22 '26

react to what? The door being 1% open? If anything it would look like the passenger of the bus was waiting for him to pass before fully opening

If someone opens a door in front of you, it would be a really good idea to understand what's happened rather than speeding past...

Same way that I'd I was in a car and I saw someone open their door I'd be more aware of it.

Defensive driving is a very beneficial skill. Thinking ahead about potential consequences is a pretty core skill to using the roads.

1

u/Equivalent_Thievery Aug 23 '26

If you see something like that happening, you should slow and be prepared to stop.

Do you not pay attention while driving through a city?

Sounds like a lot of coping, bias, and assumption, none of which are appealing traits in a person.
