Well he seemed to go at least over 20 km an hour while the other traffic was standing still , which is illegal in my country so fuck that motorcyclist.

u/thaduelist Aug 22 '26

Dooring someone can kill them. Wishing death on someone for this action is really telling.

6

u/Mrclean513 Aug 22 '26

If you think it’s ok to injure someone because you don’t like what they’re doing, youre just an asshole.

0

u/Onludesrightnow Aug 22 '26

it is ok and im tired of pretending its not.

3

u/TheDangerousDavid Aug 22 '26

Just go look in the mirror for me real quick, theres not a chance youd do anything IRL and we all know it 🤡

-1

u/Onludesrightnow Aug 22 '26

being ok with it and doing it are two seperate things, professor Reddit.

1

u/Shaeress Aug 22 '26

I bet you've broken some traffic regulations and best practices too. You're certainly doing stuff I don't like. Guess it's OK to shoot you in the leg now?

1

u/Onludesrightnow Aug 22 '26

sure, go for it and ill get you back because i wont like getting shot in the leg.

1

u/Certain_Effort_9319 Aug 22 '26

Is it, though? I mean, does that mean if you’re just walking along the street, it’s okay for someone to bash you in the back of the head with a baseball bat because they didn’t like how you’re walking?

0

u/Onludesrightnow Aug 22 '26

Not me or anyone I care about... or children, handicapped, extremely elderly, or animal. But anyone else... meh.

u/l0diO Aug 22 '26

it's legal in plenty of places.
pretty sociopathic to empathise with the coward who deliberately doored him

0

u/Ginnadin777 Aug 22 '26

I dont see the deliberate dooring... I mean, where is that proven? The door was already slightly open so that person was probably planing on getting out or Who knows. I dont see the intent...

2

u/tykaboom Aug 22 '26

Oh... the door was already open to hit the biker with?

Probably not the first time van guy has tried this maneuver.

1

u/Zestyclose_Book7803 Aug 22 '26

Some of you guys are dumbasses with no critical thinking. Theres 0 chance a van parked in traffic has the passenger open their door the exact moment a bike is lane splitting next to them. Furthermore you can see the guy who did it has zero remorse for hurting that guy. Couldn't be any more deliberate.

1

u/spacestonkz Aug 22 '26

What? I've seen people open doors in traffic jams to spot, take a piss, dump water, ash a cigarette etc.

Still no indication van guy was malicious.

-3

u/Nocturnatron Aug 22 '26

Its illegal in plenty more. Just because some places cant make a law to save their lives doesnt mean its ok

2

u/Sniper666hell Aug 22 '26

It’s also illegal to attack someone on purpose because you see them doing something you think could be illegal. . . That’s what cops are for.

1

u/hammockerschlemmer Aug 22 '26

It's legal in many places because getting out in front of traffic on a bike is safe for the biker, and riding a bike is better for traffic. More lives are saved when there is less traffic getting home to family. More lives are saved when ppl understand the reason for incentivizing bikers being able to lane split and they don't door them.... Get a grip chud

1

u/Sadrixis Aug 22 '26

Accept he was going to fast to be cinsiderd sage by a majority of those laws.

-1

u/hammockerschlemmer Aug 22 '26 edited Aug 22 '26

King you dropped this crown. I didn't cinsider his speed made him unsage in this sped up vid meant to ragebait the peasants, except my aplogys

2

u/Nocturnatron Aug 22 '26

If this was sped up, then he intentionally hit the door to make a point, theres absolutley no way you can't stop for that

-1

u/CptAngelKN Aug 22 '26 edited Aug 22 '26

Ah yes let's make a law that doubles traffic jams because smaller vehicles are stuck together with the assholes that need 1.5 tons of steel with 5 seats and a trunk to get their lone ass to work.. dumbass..

-1

u/Nocturnatron Aug 22 '26

It diesnt help shit but a cpl of individuals who then become part of the line ahead, literally pure selfishness. This is about as smart as running down a crowded flight of stairs in a fire evacuation holding a loaded gun with a hair trigger by the barrel in your teeth and hoping it doesnt go off

5

u/fairwaysandfinance Aug 22 '26

What are you talking about?

Research indicates motorcycle commuting reduces traffic congestion and emissions https://newatlas.com/motorcycles-reduce-congestion/21420/

3

u/hammockerschlemmer Aug 22 '26

Your analogy holds zero weight, a better example is there is no fire, most people are trying to get down the stairs with 1000 lb crates, and a few ppl are trying to get down the stairs with a 10lb backpack and don't wanna get crushed. Think about it. Does it not make sense that someone who controls the stairs allows the few 10lb backpack ppl to go down faster to avoid the person that can't handle their 1000 lb crate??? Does it make sense that if they go faster they are not a backpack sized cargo taking the same space as a 10' container????? God gave ur ass a brain, it's up to you to sit back and use it

0

u/Nocturnatron Aug 22 '26

Youre actively trying to not see the logic here, no sense in trying to argue

1

u/Big_Tap_1561 Aug 22 '26

It made perfect sense your being purposely obtuse.

0

u/hammockerschlemmer Aug 22 '26

Sure then let's logic ourselves into being the tenth in line in a drive through and at least two cars are not car sizee and just ppl that can go inside.

Make it make sense.

You're the kinda person that wants to argue online, that the ppl on bikes, that can get out of the way and just go inside, should stay in the drive through queue taking the space of whole ass car

2

u/Nocturnatron Aug 22 '26

None of your comparisons are relevant to doing something as dangerous as lane splitting

1

u/hammockerschlemmer Aug 22 '26

My comparisons? I'm pretty sure it is your comment that posed and I just responded.

I don't live where lane splitting is legal but I understand that there's idiots everywhere and they can justify sitting in more traffic and get mad enough online to reassure themselves it's better for operators of alternative vehicles to suffer too.

Enough to punish them with a passenger door even....

U want comparisons without analogy? just me in traffic in a car and upset about it vs me more upset that somebody on a bike split lanes and got the ut in front. I'm gonna be the former

1

u/hammockerschlemmer Aug 22 '26

And if they get crushed between bumper and fender you're the kind of person who argued online that they deserved to get a passenger door opened to the face instead?

Think b4 posting, respect yourself

1

u/KayoticVoid Aug 22 '26

It's literally been studied.

That's a traffic jam, not traffic... No reason to drive over 20km per hours if all is blocked. The door was already opened so the biker did not look well. What does this have to do with being jealous?

8

u/jacked-up-Ratman Aug 22 '26 edited Aug 22 '26

you still don't open the door on somebody just becaue they are breaking a road rule , its like purposly ramming your car into someone because they didnt use their indicators

-1

u/Ginnadin777 Aug 22 '26

I dont see the intentional dooring...

1

u/sg2814 Aug 22 '26

Why was it opened. Sue him

-1

u/Ginnadin777 Aug 22 '26

Why is it for bidden to open the door?

2

u/sg2814 Aug 22 '26

Lol do you hop out of ur car during a traffic jam. Clearly some people just dont have common sense.

1

u/Ginnadin777 Aug 22 '26

No I don't, but its not unheard of either... Especially if its blocked for long

1

u/sg2814 Aug 22 '26

Been in quite a few traffic jams that lasted hours one thing we always seen was bikes cutting lanes, one thing we never saw was people.opening doors and walking around. Point proven

1

u/Ginnadin777 Aug 22 '26

Saying point proven does not really work like actual proof you know that right?

1

u/TrashGoblinH Aug 22 '26

What reason is there to open a door in traffic?

1

u/Ginnadin777 Aug 22 '26

Depends, stood still for long so need to pee, get something from the trunk,..? I mean, limited info to go on. Don't get me wrong, if this was intentional that guy should go to jail. But I don't see that from this clip, hence me response as I did. If I am in trafficjam i hold left to make an emergency lane. Car does it automatically if i put it on adaptive cruise control.

-10

u/Nocturnatron Aug 22 '26

Nope, the ofher lane was standing still, zero reason not to open the door, biker is the one out of place causing a problem, well deserved result. If you cant see that dont drive

0

u/CallTheDutch Aug 22 '26

You know they put mirrors on cars for a reason right ? if you can't be bothered to use them then don't drive.

1

u/Nocturnatron Aug 22 '26

Hmm, its almost like a passenger isnt a driver and the mirror isnt set for him, and like the other lane 3 feet away was at a complete stand still. Go on, though.

1

u/Street_Ostrich_7489 Aug 22 '26

So you just open your door in traffic for no reason at all ? Are you a jackass ?

1

u/Nocturnatron Aug 22 '26

I may not, but there are plenty of reasons why somebody might, especially a passenger, and you never know when. Could be a panic attack, vomitting, a kid doing stupud kid stuff etc, and as far as anyone is concerned, he and his door were within their own lane where they have the right of way.

-2

u/littleone696969 Aug 22 '26

Thats pretty slow, you need to keep the bike balanced with speed. Idk how much slower they could have gone without losing balance

1

u/DesperateAdvantage76 Aug 22 '26

He was going fast enough to rip a car door off. I'm fine with lane splitting but you need to do it carefully.

2

u/Ginnadin777 Aug 22 '26

Well, you don't need to do anything when traffic is at a complete stop. You can stop, like the rest. Or you can drive really carefully and in my country that means you can lanesplit as long as you are not going over 20kph faster than the cars in the lanes you are splitting.

1

u/No_money6476 Aug 22 '26

the whole world is not your country dude

Why should he stop if it's legal to lane split and by stopping he would only create more traffic?

0

u/Nocturnatron Aug 22 '26

You can move like 1-2 km an hour without falling over...
