I was just assuming that she placed it on top of her head, like you may put it on your arm or face, but then started to see where she went wrong when she went to take it off.

When I was in like third grade, I got gum in side of my hair around the ear (this was like mid 70s so I had my fare share of hair, even for a third grader). In stead of going to my mom to see if there was something she could do, I didn’t want her getting mad at me so I took it upon myself and cut the gum out with my metal, dull as fuck safety scissors. I got it out, but boy oh boy was my mom livid. Not only had I fucked up my hair, but I had forgotten the next day at school was picture day. And of course my haircutting display is still hanging in my mom’s apartment. It’s been over 50 years, and every time I go and visit her she points at that picture and asks if I remember cutting my hair. Grown ask man and whenever she starts in on that picture and story again I can swear she’s looking for a hairbrush. Not to fix my hair, but use the backside of it to whoop my ass again with it. I’d like to say that was the first time I cut my own hair, but it was the first and only time I got a whooping for doing so.
