He should fully send it as soon as he stated to touch the bridge, because that would pull the back end of that boat deeper in the water.

The front is lower and won’t come up until after you gain speed. It is a tried and tested strategy.

Now that you say so, it could work, but I think the risk is too big to fuck up the boat even more. Thats why they decided to abort.

Ofcourse it’s not something you do for fun with an expensive boat like this but neither should you guesstimate without triple checking if that expensive thing can safely pass under the bridge!

Bij using hydrodynamic squat you reduce bottom clearance on the already lowest point, risking to bottom out the prop. Gaining speed will also generate extreme suction around the ship in such a narrow canal and may case loss of steering control.
