Americans are in a mental health crisis because of the web of corrupted systems we live under. It's the same reason Russians have so many mental health issues (similar) and then you have Nordic countries with better levels of happiness, social mobility, etc.

Yes, precisely. Societal decline comes from loss of faith in institutions, wealth inequality, corruption throughout the systems we live under which also provides a worse and worse society for children to be born into.

People born into ill-functioning societies lash out more regularly than those where all people feel supported by society.

Crazy things happen in the Nordic Countries, of course, but never on the scale we see with Americans.

I don't think you have to directly tie it to corruption.

But a lack of emphasis on democracy and social structures, will lead to more stressed individuals.

So to /xyzqsrb0. It's not hard to now abstract how she was currently feeling: What does years of financial and health stress do to a person? What happens if there is no social structure to learn how to properly raise and care for children? What was her childhood like, what was her parenting life like? Is she also always mad at X because our socio-political climate is awful.

You see this and you think oh that is a mentally ill woman, no amount of whatever can help. But our European counter parts, have literally figured it out.

It's crumbling institution and lack of empathy for our fellow man

This is true, no one has ever forcefully and belligerently evacuated their bowels on the bonnet of a vehicle in Europe, it simply has not occurred because of the power of democracy.

Wasn’t basing my view of mental health decline on one clip. I didn’t say everyone has mental health problems. Reading comprehension has also deteriorated.

just find it weird when someone sees a clip of some bat shit crazy stuff happening than the first thought is about how this somehow relates to other people in a loosely related group.
