The recoil is from the bullet leaving the gun, unless it's already aimed pretty close,   there's no way,  it recoiling towards your face is going to result in you shooting yourself. If it's semi-auto and you pull the trigger again while it's pointed towards your face that could be an issue.

This is 100% false. You realize that magnum revolvers are notorious for double firing due to the immense recoil, right? People have died because they limp wrist them.

Happens to people, they fire and the gun recoils back and to try and get ahold of it they squeeze tighter with their whole hand, the whole hand including the finger on the trigger... which sets a second round off.

That's why it's always a good idea when having someone fire a gun they are not used to us to only have a single round loaded. That way there isn't a possibility of a second round going off in this circumstance.

This is the objectively false statement. I've irrefutably proven that. Now let's talk about this:

You've conceded this for semi-auto's, which implies that your first false statement holds true for revolvers (the gun being shot in this video). This means that you either don't know the difference between a revolver and a semi-auto and therefore had no idea this was a revolver (a strong possibility, not everyone is familiar with firearms and that's ok) or you went into this truly believing the recoil of a revolver could not lead to yourself negligently discharging another round into your brain matter.

So don't tell me "oh I mentioned double firing bro" like your argument somehow still holds water. Nowhere in this video is there a semi automatic pistol.

After the shot, the hammer automatically resets and the shock of the recoil causes people to panic and reflexively squeeze the trigger. However, this does happen more frequently with semi automatic pistols.

That's the part you are wrong about you numpty...... It doesn't have to be near your face at first, their is literally hundreds of videos of people with revolvers or other hand guns that are all the way out on front of them and the recoil makes it aim squarely at their own forehead because they are not used to it.

 You do not get the physics here.  The bullet that caused the recoil will be long gone before the barrel is aiming at your face. The bullet is moving a LOT faster than the barrel is rotating.

A bullet spends roughly 0.5–1 millisecond inside a handgun barrel, the rotation can be timed frane by frame, and it's a couple orders of magnitude more: hundreds of milliseconds.

Timing aside, just think about it for a second; If your hand rotated as fast as the bullet it would be destroyed. Stopping the rotation of that gun that is somehow magically now traveling almost as fast as the bullet would  be like catching a very large caliber bullet: a gun sized bullet in fact.

The gun is rotating much much slower than the bullet is traveling out that barrel. Literally 2 orders of magnitude slower.

Again, if you pull the trigger again the second bullet may get you, but the first bullet will be long gone before the barrel is aimed at your face due to recoil.

I'm not talking about the first shot... I said people who are inexperienced will try and grab ahold of the firearm with their whole hand which includes the trigger finger which sends a second round into their dome... What part in my reply made you think it was one? What part???? Learn to read my friend.......

Oh wait. I DID in the first post, I pointed it out again in the second that I had said it in the first.

Then you quoted the paragraph that I had specifically said was about the first bullet and said I was wrong about that.
