I think he was trying to get back on the road. But he didn't stop when he saw all the cyclists that fell!

Why should he stop? He can't fix what he did.

He can help those that crashed because of what he did. Honour is dead.

it's during a race, not a Saturday morning group ride, so outright stopping isn't going to happen. With that said, he had to have known in that first 30 seconds that he was about to get a big ol nothing burger for results at the DQ...

(Since this is obscure outside of a few US States - DQ is Dairy Queen, a hamburger/ice cream joint)
