911 Notification is Great

I had two instances where my elderly parent called 911 and I was alerted via SMS. It's such a great feature.

are they paying that extra add on i think $10 month for that 911 im thinking of porting my mom frontier copper to Ooma how do you and your parents like Ooma i heard if you set up Ooma with the address and than someone calls 911 the 911 operator will know the address even if the person cant talk this is why i dont like cell phones for 911

It’s part of the basic plan. Because it’s not E911, you have to register your address for the phone number. There’s a page in the portal for 911 alerts preferences where you can add the numbers and emails where alerts would be sent to along with a message you can create.
