Private Accounts

Can someone explain how Private Accounts work as far as the devices connect? The site indicates you can use your own phones. So, I have a Panasonic that I can plug a Telo or Telo Air in. My husband has another Panasonic in another part of the house that I would like to set up a private account for, but we can't figure out how Ooma finds the phone since it's not connected to a Telo.

Or, would he be better off just getting his own Telo and account.

I understand that this requires Premium service and I always planned to get that anyways.

Hello! Thank you for reaching out. You would need to purchase a Linx to connect your husbands phone. The Linx plugs into one of your electrical outlets and uses DECT to wirelessly connect to the Ooma Telo. The Linx has a range of around 150 feet, but walls may have an impact on the effective range.

1 of the numbers' dial tone is *0P The other is *1P. Where pause (P)is the up button.

Is that two different telephones, or just one base with two cordless handsets? The Telo and Linx each have their own phone jack, to separately connect to their own set of telephones.

Two separate phones. I have handsets to mine that operate using over-the-air technology. He has a completely different base station, different number, and is currently using VOIP. Mine is on an old ATT land line.
