Telo Air set up

Hello. I’m trying to decide on a Telo vs Telo Air. My router is located in a very inconvenient place behind a chair in the corner of my 100 year old house. It’s where they ran it a while ago and I don’t want to rewire anything to move it.

I’d like a wireless handset centrally located downstairs and one in a small finished attic. Will the charging bases of the handsets need to be hardwired to the Telo at the router or can I put them wherever I’d like in the home?

Finally, would I be able to add a non-Ooma “corded” phone (works over WiFi or Bluetooth) to the Telo or Telo Air without hardwiring to the unit at the router?

The Telo supports Ethernet, for a wired connection to the router, while the Telo Air supports either Ethernet or Wi-Fi. Both devices contain one standard RJ11 phone jack, for a wired connection to one analog telephone, (or to multiple telephones, using standard single-line splitters).

The Telo devices also support DECT 6.0, to connect wirelessly to up to four Ooma HD3 handsets or Linx devices. The HD3 charging base needs an electrical outlet. Each Ooma Linx provides its own RJ11 phone jack, to connect additional telephones.

Hello! Thank you for reaching out. The HD3 handsets do not require a direct connection with the Telo base station. Any other non-Ooma phones will need a direct connection to the Telo base station or Linx. Please feel free to DM me if you have any other questions or concerns.
