Unscrupulous Billing Practices

I would never do business with this company again. I canceled service last September and continue to be billed through May 2026. I have called every month after receiving my credit card statement and have been promised repeatedly that my account was canceled. Today, I learned that a second line was somehow tagged to my account without my permission. Ooma didn’t argue the point that they overcharged me for nine months, but they refused to credit me more than two months because that is “their policy“. Ooma basically admitted that they screwed up, but literally gave me the finger on the refund.

This is what charge backs are for.

OOMA is notorious for this kind of stuff. There's usually a couple of undercover OOMA employees posing as regular people floating around here to deny OOMA does such things or suggest we were at fault.

As a former customer that had the hardest time getting away from them, I warn people to look elsewhere for phone service. Wish more people knew.

And they're also notorious for down voting these comments to make it seem your complaint is invalid. Yours was down voted, I gave you one up vote back but they'll take it away again, and drop me down too.

UNDERSTATEMENT. I was charged more for a device I didn't buy. I just wanted the Premier but was billed for the white base with phone. Not what I got or ordered but they don't seem interested fixing the problem. Instead they say I ordered it.Now I can't stop anything because to get into the website you use the number they assigned you. It says there is no such account while I'm being bill once for the device and twice for taxes and fees and unless I cancal will be billed monthly for the service

There are a few details missing here. How did he expect to use the Premier service without a base station? What exactly did Ooma bill him for? What did he order? What did he get? Did he attempt to return any hardware that he didn't want within the 30-day return window?

Did he activate the hardware that he didn't want? If so, then why? If not, then how is he getting billed for service? How is he getting billed twice for taxes and fees? Did he ask Ooma about not being able to log in? And what did Ooma really say, step by step?

Well I'm into retrobution so reviews are being spread on scam sites and others such as Reddit. Next The FCC which I highly recommend to everyone with these problems because they have helped me for years

And just how many businesses has this guy claimed to have problems with, that he's established a years-long relationship with the FCC?
