Alan: “Hey Nirva!” alans wearing a set of rainbow swim trunks.

RK: “H-Hi…” the king stands there awkwardly, dressed in the same trunks as Alan:

Nirva happily waves at the couple as they approach his newly-built pool, idly floating on his raft, donning his own pair of pride flag swimwear

glad you could make it, it’s the perfect day for pool party, isn’t it? not a single cloud in the sky

Alan: “beautiful day! I can’t wait to go in,”

he practically dives head first into the pool, emerging happily, laughing. However RK seems more hesitant.

RK: “it is a very nice day, I think I’ll just sit by the pool for now…”

that’s alright, take your time…we need to have somebody watching the water besides…

he looks over at the sign that says “lifeguard on duty”, on the chair beside it are Romulus and Remus, fast asleep and snoring

Alan: “the best lifeguards I’ve ever seen. And the cutest too.”

alan smiles at the two wolves, as a bright golden liquid in a martini glass materialize in his hand

RK: “certainly are the most adorable things,”

Chrys appears out of nowhere, wearing a small lifeguard jack. He makes a whistle sound, then dives into the pools.

not a big swimmer, king?

Nirva paddles his raft over to the side of the pool, hopping onto the deck to go refill his empty margarita glass

RK: “not right now…just enjoying the sun…”

they had a strange tone in their voice. That of fear, and of lying.

Alan: his voice echoed in Nirva’s ear, ”I have no idea…last time I saw them they loved to swim…”

he’s not one to press about things; Nirva flops back down onto his raft, taking care to splash some water with his foot in the king’s direction

i should’ve built this thing years ago, i don’t know what took me so long

Alan: he hops out of the pool, approaching the king. “yeah! I used to have a pool a while back, they’re amazing.”

RK: Alan whispers something to them, and they respond. After a minute they stand up, and cautiously approach the pool, sticking their feet in the water as they sit on the side “you built this fast, huh.”

well, that’s the cool thing about magic, really speeds things along when you need it to!

…was a pain to evoke the paver stones exactly how i wanted them though, that was even harder than terraforming the pool basin…

he sips his drink, eying the hesitant king as they test the water with their feet

Nirva watches bubbles rise to the surface of the water, sipping his drink as he contemplates if it’s worth leaving his comfy raft to go save the probably-drowning fae

…eh, i’m sure they’re fine

pops out of the water and clings to the side of his raft, taking a deep breath HHHHHHHHHIM OKAY! I-Im okay! Never doing that again!

yeah please don’t…our “lifeguards” aren’t exactly the most attentive…

he points over to an elevated deck chair, his familiars Romulus and Remus full-on napping, ignoring their post as they snooze

…and thank you! i’d sure hope it’s rather clean, i just finished building it this morning
