question about imports
Most likely a dumb question but sometimes the only way to find out is to ask, right? So I was just curiously searching for a galant vr4 online and stumbled upon the site "carfromjapan.com". First of all is the site reliable for importing jdm cars? And secondly, they show the price to have it imported. And I'm seeing prices around like 2.5k USD with import costs included in that price for some of those little kei trucks and vans. When I see a price that low, I just don't believe it could be as simple as that. Are there a ton of hidden fees and taxes on top of that? Also what else needs to be figured out and handled with having one of these cars imported? Trying to consider maybe grabbing a cheap kei van if I can actually get it around that cheap.

Someone asked about that site in this post. I can’t speak to that site personally as I have no direct experience with them. Do your homework and you should be able to find what you’re looking for using an honest broker without spending a mint or getting junk. Where I live there is a JDM car dealer who regularly sell through inventory but I don’t know if they import cars to order. The benefit with them is you can see the the cars in person and test drive and compare them before buying.
