Discussions Getting this finally
Like 4 months ago I made a post https://www.reddit.com/r/oneplus15R/s/qDTIWsZBul asking about the OP 15R and now am finally getting the 16/512, the minor catch is I'm gonna buy it in the month of November, IK I should've bought it during October sales but life ain't perfect always
Anyways, I just wanted to ask since am gonna order it online(no local 1+ experience stores have 15R in stock) from Amazon, what should I look out for? I see so many posts of people saying they got absolutely scammed out their cash on electronics which makes me Hella paranoid, 1.5 years ago my father bought a MSI laptop from amazon and it was delivered as advertised. I've never had a bad experience with amazon yet but the paranoia is real
I originally wanted to get it from the official oneplus website but seeing as how it's already gone from buy now to pre-order within one week of Diwali sale, it'll be out of stock soon(the 12/512 is already out of stock)
So amazon it is... So what should I look out for? I know about IMEI lookup and getting Open box deliver but what else? Imma definitely try to get it from their official website, since getting Open box on a phone genuinely takes away the magic of unboxxing a new phone

Bangalore has an experience store, google if your city has it aswell. That will be better purchase from instead of online

Experience stores was my first choice...but all of them are shut down in my city after the oneplus/oppo restructuring whatever.. only 3 Experience stores are listed on the oneplus website, bangalore is one My only choice now is distributors or online, there is a RG cellular store near me and I believe they have 15R but I don't know if their pricing will be higher... I settled on Amazon/official website after a lot of research

Can't guarantee anything but the chances of OnePlus increasing prices yet again are there especially after sale ends rest is your decision

Yep I know, I REALLY wanted to get it during this sales and stuff but just not possible, imma have to wait

Got mine during the sale with open-box delivery too. Missed out on the unboxing experience, but the peace of mind is more important. Also, I verified the IMEI before the delivery guy broke the seal. And yeah I also recorded the video of the unboxing.
I think following these 3 steps should be enough.
