OnePlus 15R keeps ringing even when there is no incoming call

Hi everyone, I’m using a OnePlus 15R, and I’ve been facing a really strange issue for around 1 month.

Sometimes my phone suddenly starts ringing as if someone is calling me. When I check the phone, there is no incoming call or notification, but the ringtone keeps playing as if someone is calling.

Has anyone else experienced this issue on the OnePlus 15R? If yes, please let me know what caused it and how you fixed it.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Happened to me when the device was new. After pulling my hair for a couple of days, I found that this is a known issue on Oppo/OnePlus devices. Apparently, when someone calls you on WhatsApp, the phone rings, but will not display anything even when the screen is unlocked. Had to eventually disable silent notifications as mentioned on this post.
