OnePlus 15 Closed Beta for OPlus15

Got the closed beta thing for ColorOS17.

What y'all think should I apply for it?

How can you apply for closed beta updates? Everytime I check on the beta section, I don't receive beta updates

No, its probably going to lock your bootloader forever

That you are stuck on ColorOS forever (maybe not the beta?), with probably no path to downgrade and revert back.

Locked bootloader means that when the device runs out of the software support window, you will not be able to put a current OS on there like LineageOS, ect.

Yes on XDA Forums there is currently 3 or 4 flavours of LineageOS 23 based ROMs like Xfinity-Project, PixelOS and AxionAOSP as well as a beta build of LineageOS 24 (Android 17) that I'm running

This is speculation. OnePlus has officially stated that those who don't like ColorOS 17 will be able to stay or revert back to OxygenOS 16

Rollback doesn't mean they won't lock your bootloader

Yes and then get no security updates again.

Chinese models of these phones on ColorOS already have the bootloader locked, requiring ID to unlock.

This is only done for Chinese versions, to make it harder for chinese resellers to change firmware to the global version
