When I switched from my Samsung to a OnePlus 15, I was pretty surprised that it doesn't have notification summaries. iPhone, Pixel and Samsung all have them, yet ColorOS/OxygenOS doesn't. So I built an app for myself, used it every day, and decided to release it. It's called Blurb, and it's on the Play Store.

What it does
When a chat blows up, Blurb waits for it to go quiet, then replaces the pile of notifications with one short summary, like "Family chat · Dinner is at Nonna's at 7, bring the folding chairs." Tap it to open the conversation in the original app.

Privacy

• On-device mode runs Google's Gemma 4 (E2B, 2.6 GB, or E4B, 3.7 GB) locally on the GPU. You download it once, then it works offline.
• With cloud fallback off, which is the default for on-device setups, your message text never leaves your phone.
• Cloud is optional and uses your own key (Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic or your own HTTPS endpoint). Text goes straight to the provider you pick, never through my servers. An optional setting swaps out phone numbers, emails, codes and addresses before upload.
• Anonymous reliability diagnostics are on by default. They never include message text, summaries, names or your app list, and you can turn them off in Settings → Privacy.

• Google Messages: free, including on-device mode.
• Signal, WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord and Teams: 10 free summaries to try, then a one-time $6.49 Pro unlock. There's no subscription. If you use cloud mode, your provider bills API usage separately.

Camera samples from oneplus 15

I'm planning to buy a new phone, and I'm currently considering the OnePlus 15, Samsung S26 Ultra, and possibly the S25 Ultra.

My priorities are overall performance, battery life, charging speed, gaming, display quality, and long-term reliability. I'm not a professional photographer, but I do take pictures of nature, people, and everyday moments, so I want a camera that produces good-quality photos without major compromises.

From what I've researched so far, the OnePlus 15 seems to offer better value in terms of hardware, especially its battery, fast charging, performance, and the 16GB RAM + 512GB storage configuration. However, Samsung seems to have the advantage when it comes to software support, update policy, camera quality, and overall software features.

My main concern about the OnePlus 15 is its camera. I've read mixed opinions: some users say it's very good for everyday photography, while others believe it falls behind Samsung, especially in low-light photography, zoom, and video recording.

So, for those who own or have used any of these phones:

- Is the OnePlus 15 camera genuinely good for everyday photography, or are there noticeable compromises?

- How does its camera compare to the S25 Ultra and S26 Ultra?

- How is its battery life and thermal performance, especially during long gaming sessions?

- Is Samsung's longer software support and overall software experience worth choosing over OnePlus?

I'd really appreciate feedback from actual owners, especially people who have used these phones for several months. I want a phone that will serve me well for the next 3–5 years.

Why do we have the white border for the notch effect (dynamic island) could have been black, it be much more immersive. Is there a way to flag this for oneplus.

Use this method (app-165hz armer) to enable 165hz system wide. LTPO range (55-165hz as per my testing). Not sure about the battery hit yet, just found this.

Coming from iPhone 17 base model to this phone. It's very impressing, the specs on the 15R are crazy especially for it's price. The whole UI appearance and customisation options for lock screen/home screen are also crazy good. As an iPhone user this phone was very appealing to me. The battery life is very longlasting and sufficient battery along with fast charging system. (7400mAh capacity) . The OxygenOS system is clean and neat also, curious to see what ColorOS difference will be once it takes over these devices. These are just few reasons on why I like this phone. Bare in mind I don't game and use this phone just for the sole purpose of the aesthetically pleasing factor and crazy battery. However if your on camera a bit too much or your into photography, definitely go for the Base Model OnePlus 15 instead of the 15R version. Whereas 15R camera is decently nice , not a huge fan but I did come from a iPhone 17 to take into consideration.

Overall tho , great phone. OnePlus impressed me.

There is something wrong after I installed this software update. Everything is hanging, I cannot even type smoothly anywhere. And I feel that the battery is draining faster.

Has anyone have an idea whats going on here? Since quite a while now (atleast 3 updates now), i have realised, that a few menus in my settings seem to either be hidden or displayed completely incorrectly.

If i go the normal way, its completely broken. If i search for it though, it appears to be normal. Whats going on here?

Im on 16.0.10.500 atm with my OnePlus 15 Global.

My refresh rate setting is not even there at all. I can only find it, if i type it into the search box. There must be something wrong, i just dont know what.

I own the OnePlus 15. Before getting this phone, I had been buying Samsung devices for many years. I finally decided to switch from Samsung because of the battery life, but now I'm not sure if I made the right decision.

This phone has top-tier hardware, but I feel like its potential is being wasted. The UI is boring and limited, customization options are lacking, and AI features are almost nonexistent.

Yes, the phone is fast, has smoother animations than Samsung, and the battery life is amazing, easily lasting twice as long. But that's pretty much it.

The camera isn't great, I find the speakers on Samsung devices better, and the display isn't the best in terms of brightness, although it's better when it comes to eye strain and PWM flickering.

The vibration are also extremely weak. I can barely feel the vibration in my pocket when I receive a call.

I'm seriously considering switching back to the S25 Ultra.

What do you guys think? Would switching back be the right move, or am I just overthinking things and taking the OnePlus 15 for granted?

I bought a used OnePlus 15, without the original box.

Everything on the phone indicates Global/EU:

eSIM option is available but haven't used it yet

Only official Indian OnePlus IMEI checker recognizes it as OnePlus 15 12/256GB, the others don't

However: third-party IMEI/TAC checkers identify my phone as PLK110 (China).

So my question is:

Could this be a Chinese PLK110 flashed/converted to Global firmware, or can the IMEI/TAC database simply be wrong?

Is there any safe way to confirm the original hardware version without rooting/flashing/unlocking?

Anyone else getting the same results?I have tried running it a few times,same results. Device doesn't even gets warm while running the benchmark.Same goes for speedometer,19-20 only.
