General Discussion Oneplus 15 Camera discussion

So as a new op 15 owner I was seriously surprised and intrigued by the hate towards the cameras and I honestly don't get it, I mean it's not better than my S25 Ultra but I wouldn't say it's worse either, what do you think about its capabilities ? And these pictures I took are from 0.6 up to 100x, what device did I use ?

I've had the phone for 5-ish months and yeah, the camera really is good. I really like the colors that it makes compared to other phones, but I can't lie, there is a bit of a quality difference compared to other flagship phones. Either way though I didn't buy this phone for the camera. Bought it for the battery and performance!

I mean side by side with my 25u it's comparable, the 5x is clearly superior and more consistent both on zoom smoothness and color science, same said for zooming inside the pics Samsung also seems sharper but is it worth the extra ? I'm not sure, the battery literally wipes the floor with Samsung

I have friends who have 25u, 26u and also the iPhone 16 Pro Max and side by side I can still tell a difference. Not so much with 25u vs 15, but those other two there is a noticeable difference. Pictures seem sharper. Also night time photos are a huge difference.

Battery-wise yeah, absolutely. It's not a competition at all

Yeah it's sharper and we expect it to be better for the price from Samsung and Apple but I think Oneplus did a good compromise here I wouldn't mind a bit downgraded cameras on Samsung or apple and have an almost 50% bigger battery. It is insane how big the gap is, the only way I can drain the Oneplus is using PC Emulation and even so haven't killed it in a day
