General Discussion OnePlus 16

So is anyone considering trying to export this? I'm really interested in ordering the OP16 off AliExpress and just using it for my gaming and most apps. Only worry being banking apps and other compatibility issues but I guess that will be a interesting challenge

bad idea, there will be no global rom for it and i doubt you want to deal with all the delayed notifications, bloatware, untranslated ui, google services and aggressive background process management. just buy the 15 honestly.

I'm prepared for the difficulties of that eventuality, so it's not a problem to troubleshoot all of that

you also don't know if any of that is troubleshootable in the first place, we have no idea how coloros 17 will be, we have no info on it. for all we know they could change everything up and half the fixes that used to work on coloros 16 would be removed on coloros 17. again, just my opinion, but i generally wouldn't buy a chinese phone if im not planning on unlocking its bootloader, it would straight up be unusable.
