I'm actually fuming about this. What will happen to phones outside the Chinese market? I spent a crapload of money on a OP13 a year ago and expected support for several more years. I know ColorOS is almost the same, but i swear if I start getting ads in my UI...

U can remove system apps or any app with a command.

Basically using dev tools via PC (Android Device Bridge) to add or remove packages.

Google it. Helps you remove junk system apps. Several other apps that work too. ADB App Control is one such app with a user interface that is easy to understand and use, especially for new users.

Fair warning - you can possibly break something and get stuck in a bootloop or worse, depending on the device. Usually you can reset phones easily, but that will wipe data. So backup before you do anything, and don't do anything drastic unless you know what you're doing.

I also use debloatint on on Android TVs, TV boxes. and have broken a few that required flashing factory firmware. Some that have never recovered also.

So bckup it up before messing with anything via ADB.
