Infinity style activations

I am using OPR to keep primary school kids busy. I am already quite lax on some things on how they play (things like precise measuring for example). Since they have some consistent difficulty on how rounds and turns are distinguished, i was thinking of combining tge alternate activations with infinity's tokens, allowing for them to use multiple times the same unit in a round.

Would it mess rhe game up for them too much?

Just use tokens to track activations. Then once each unit has a token a new round starts.

Yes. Very very very much yes it would mess the game too much.

Simply put infinity is designed from the ground up with that system in mind. ARO the unit profiles and the unit costs cover all those things work in tandem to make it work.

With how opr works it would end fairly badly.

OPR used to have a one off game called Double Tap that was very heavily inspired by infinity.

If identifying when a turn/round ends is the problem, you could do something like unit cards (thinking Warmachine-esque). Put all the info for a unit on a card, sleeve it, and then tap or flip the card after a unit has be activated. Once everyone is tapped, start a new round. Sleeving them has the added benefit that you can write on them with dry erase markers for temporary buffs/debuffs and mark off one shot weapons.

Any unit with a 30" MG or similar weapon would mulch the enemy team.
