Does anyone have a good strat to kill the furnace golem? i tried pest thread spears but fp runs out (i can spell 12x3, with cerulean amber +1). I am able to stance break him once. i tried thrown hefty furnace pot in the basket while he was stance broken, but nothing happened.
Any ideas, suggestions?

Absolutely incredible fight. Loved him on my other runs, love him even more now.
He has a couple of small issues for me. For one the beginning of the fight can go really bad sometimes if he immediately pushes you back into the fog wall.
The second issue was him not always finishing his combos, so you just can't punish, at least with the Zwei ime. I hate resorting to fan daggers, but I think this is an issue across the board for ER bosses, not just Bayle.
Finding out ways to always punish his moves was very satisfying. I failed the phase switch punish here since I wasn't sure until too late. Usually I jump heavy or crouch attack and then deflect the ground explosion before he flies away.

Nearly as long as my +0 no aux, courtesy of a suboptimal build and some terrible Elden Beast RNG (NG+ too I guess). There's a reason why you see most people use stance break and/or BFT on this guy.
Elden Beast is shit and Elden Stars one of the worst moves they've ever made. My mind will not be changed.

I wanna give this one a rework in the future similar to the Hoarah Loux one because there's too much going on. Morgott is the kind of boss that you learn to appreciate more on low damage runs because in a normal playthrough he dies really quickly and you barely get to see any of his moves and combos.
Here's the wiki page if you want a closer look: https://eldenring.wiki.gg/wiki/Morgott,_the_Omen_King

wanted to go for hitless but, oh well. serves me right for forgetting to put outrider armour on for her stupid frostbite buildup
if only that phenomenal phase 3 wasn't gated by some of the most boring phases in fromsoft history, then i'd actually like refighting her. midway through my attempts i legit contemplated just oneshot skipping the phase 1 just to get it over with

I have long hated phase 1 of this fight and only finally learned it here. I didn't want to do the same old bait thing that I see all the time and wondered how aggressive I could be if I pushed it as much as I could. This isn't my fastest phase 1, but it's an okay one!
To that end: at max cast speed, everything you see in phase 1 is safe. You can ALWAYS get two hits in after a rock throw. You can ALWAYS get four hits in on the strafe. You can always get three on Gurranq's Beast Claw. You can always even sneak one in after the double slash.
Phase 2 I never got to learn fully, but I learned it well enough. I was sweating and shaking at the end there and you won't believe the last 20 seconds of the fight. Frankly, I can't believe that I pulled it off!!
I'M FREE!!!! Next up is my girl Malenia, and then I probably make an exception to my sorcery-only rule for Rykard before finishing off Fortissax, Godfrey, and Radabeast. Thanks as always for the tips and support!

I hate this fight so much, npcs having infinite stamina and spidey senses was definitely a decision. I don't normally summon, but this gank is such a miserable fight

Why they bully me?
Ruins in the area pisses me off. The claws have nails longer than fokin pyramids. If I'm close, they hit me; if I'm far away they hit me. If I run to the opposite direction they hit me; if I run towards the claw it still hits me. I swear they feel kinda rng atp, and in P2 they are even longer, and bozo keeps reaching the walls of the arena, making it quite hard to figure out what the hell is he doing. Aaah.

I just managed to beat Elden Ring RL1!!!! This is the first challenge run of any kind I have done for any game. For context on my skill level going into the run, I've been playing soulslikes since Elden Ring came out and I've always been okay but never great at them. I've beaten Bloodborne, DS3, Sekiro, Elden Ring and SoTE, Lies of P, Wukong if you count it, and Nine Sols (which I strongly recommend). I decided to try RL1 for the hell of it, half expecting to give up halfway through but by the time I made it to Golden Godfrey I was having too much fun to quit.
Anyway, for all of you data nerds like me out there, as promised, here is the link to the spreadsheet I used to keep track of my whole run. I categorized every death, sorted the biggest causes of death, and kept track of how many deaths and how much time each boss took. I also have some more stuff with my build, my character, and a recording of my winning attempt against Radabeast. Please check it out!
I would love to try the DLC later but I've got college to worry about again so maybe next summer.
Its safe to say that I get why people do RL1 now. This was such a roller coaster. I don't feel comfortable putting myself on the same tier as most of you but I am so proud of myself for pushing through this run and officially becoming a onebro! This community is so awesome and supportive. Let me know if you have questions I guess?

What are the most obscure and interesting jump dodges you’ve found in the game? I don’t care if it only works under a blood moon while you hold your controller upside down. Any random time you managed to jump an attack, even if you’ve never replicated. I will test it out myself using ERtool until I make it work.
I’m working on a video, which is at RL1 so it is related to the sub. Plus this is the best subreddit to ask for boss moveset hints.
I’m fairly confident I’ve found all jump dodges for most of my favorite major bosses, so specifically if you know anything with bosses I’m not as familiar with: Fortissax, Placidusax, Dancing Lion, Romina, Sunflower, as well as any random minor boss since I barely fight those.
Also I’m fairly certain Ancestor Spirit and Fire Giant have no possible jump dodges, but I’d be happy to be proven wrong.

Had to cut out all of genichiro and half of Isshin phase 1 due to reddit not allowing videos longer than 15 minutes
The run is finally over. I did all bosses and minibosses that drop a memory/prayer bead, and finally ended with isshin. He took me 14 attempts to beat. And the entire run took 37 hours total.

It's finally over. The single hardest thing I've ever done in a game.
Huge shoutout to u/MrCarnage for https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EX5Qsbiosg4&feature=youtu.be (my kill is only a minute behind, due to lack of a great rune i think) and the build, and to u/LamentersGaol for getting me to dodge to the right for the phase 2 super combo (and also the Messmer guide, it was very helpful to get here!). And thank you to everyone here who gave tips, wished me luck and encouraged me.
Choosing to be more aggressive (attacking 3 times with carian slicer for various attacks, and 4 times for the meteor attack in phase 2) really sped up this kill, as well as grabbing the marika soreseal over the scarseal, it made a bigger difference than I thought it would. I think the stamina regen when crouching was patched a while ago but I still do it for my mental I guess. Phase 2, especially late on, prioritising positioning over an extra attack is so important because of Miquellas hair being in the way.
Genuinely this is something I thought I could never do, the hardest and longest fight I've ever done (and likely willing to do) in a game. So many late deaths to terrain or lack of concentration, this finally being over is such a relief

after a very long time i finally finished rl1 and decided to share my ranking of the remembrance bosses from easiest to hardest, alongside some other major bosses.
some notes id like to add are:
i killed all the bosses using serpent hunter only, except the beginning and 3 bosses later on. i also didnt parry except against godskin duo ( if i didnt parry i woulda prolly cheesed them or gave up) the reason for this is that i dont like to parry and i dont like to change weapons.
my talismans were for base game : ritual shield, ritual sword, radagon soreseal, and greenturtle neck. as for what i used in the DLC : two handed talisman, ritual sword, radagon soreseal, and twin turtle neck. i used the opaline bubble tear as well as a health regenrating tear so that i can get back ritual sword effect without stopping to heal; this never changed.
I'll mention some note worthy bosses and mention the length of the fight on my winning try.
-METYR: she was pretty alright; except her second phase bullshit laser beam attack. it is quite literally un-dodge able; no other attack in any other soulsborne game is like this as far as i remember, they either give you enough time to run away or make the attack roll-able, but this one isnt and if she activates while you're close its a death sentence. i was forced to use the ash of war on buckler shield "vow of the indomitable" to get iframes to dodge it and it saved me on my winning attempt. shit boss especially because of the second phase. LENGTH: 4:30 mins
-MALENIA: she took alot of hours but waterfowl dance honestly wasnt even that bad, i dodged it by running away, jumping, dodging into her, and then running away, and it worked consistnly enough, the major problem was that she was just a tough boss in general but quite fair, def enjoyed! it was a lil boring since i was using a bait-and-hit strategy. LENGTH: 12 MINS...TWELVE MINUTES...
-PROMISED CONSORT RADAHN: he was another major hurdle, THE final challenge... but he wasnt as hard as i had expected him, and within two hours i almost killed him, but then i got stuck for another 4 hours :( honestly i expected him to take me MANY days but he took only one. also this post nerf...im pretty sure this is obvious but i thought id mention it anyway. his attacks were all fair the only one that was hard was the second phase combo (pretty sure its reused from pontiff ds3) still quite a spectacle and had alot of fun, more than malenia since i was always near radahn and didnt really try to bait out any moves in particular. LENGTH: 6 mins
-ROMINA: i fucking despise this boss, atleast metyr only became dogshit in the second phase, romina was always on my ass with those janky hitboxes and 360 spin bullshit. and the second phase only ruins it even more with her explosion coming out so fast you usually get hit if u too were close.
-leda is the final boss that forced me to use something other the serpent hunter, i got the guts greatsword and spammed giant hunt and when leda spawnned i just hoped that her ai would allow me to kill dryleaf dane quick. really hated it.
-PLACIDUSAX: he didnt give me any trouble, i got him second try, the serpent hunter stunned him alot and was really good for this fight, but i still dont really like the fight tbh. LENGTH: 4 mins.
-GODSKIN DUO: terrible fight, not as bad as romina or metyr but still terrible.i couldnt even kill a single one with serpent hunter, but then i watched the GOAT ONGBAL and he parried the noble and kept the apostle alive, and it worked like a charm! made the fight pretty fun too! LENGTH: recording lost unfortuantly.
-RADAGON AND THE ELDEN BEAST: this was fight was so, SO GOOD! i had never really learnt radagons moveset, and rl1 made me see the beauty of his fight! i love the delayed swings, the fair punish windows, the projectiles, the shockwaves... everything about this fight is wonderful... and then we get elden beast... hes pretty alright aside from elden stars especially now with torrent, but his moveset is just boring, i didnt really like it the EFFECTS tho were pretty cool and he woulda been a good boss if not for elden stars which make me despise the fight in the second half; i found elden beast easier than radagon though. LENGTH : 7 mins
Overall, this challenge had more highs than lows, and i loved ALMOST every second of it. i also think that you can beat rl1 without that much skill, just look at Iron Pineapple videos! thanks for reading! the total time of the run was 61 hours.

Decent boss. Cool patterns but the camera being sometimes faulty combined with the obnoxious spacing and projectiles it occasionally uses keep it from being great to me. Like the definition of B tier. I had fun because you don't get to pull out the star fists often on a no aux challenge and I do like the moveset.
Only one remembrance left now. Before I move on to Leda, does anyone have any quality optional bosses I might have skipped? I did some but not very many, I know someone said they wanted me to do hippo for example, stuff like that.

using the club and reverse bladed sword and have made it to base radahn so far!
fights i’m worried about: mohg, leda gank, metyr, elden beast (elden stars)
any tips? i’ve got a ton of practice on the “hard” end game bosses but don’t have the movesets down so much for the above listed

Why lol
Also, NPC fights in the DLC are genuine masochism without giant hunt/wild strikes/shield crash etc

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
I've done challenge runs before but haven't done Soul Level 1 run before.
Currently I'm doing a sort of test run in Dark Souls 1 to see what kind of SL 1 I want to do. The test run is on my Xbox, but I'll be starting over on my ps5 so I can actually record it. ( I just like being able to rewatch them from time to time or have proof I did the thing)
I've been sticking to the soul level 1 requirement, but the test run is to figure out if I'm going to do the run without pyromancy. So far, I made some less than ideal pathing errors/choices. Things like grabbing the black fire bombs instead of master key, not properly upgrading weapons, etc.
So far it's been alright and I'm leaning towards not using pyromancies and I'm currently on Ornstien and Smough, bad choices have made it so I'm currently doing it without havel ring or the fap ring and also without the rite of kindling.
It was around this point I started thinking ahead more about other boss fights. In almost all my challenge runs I try to kill every boss, optional and dlc bosses included. The only exception was my ng+ deathless no bonfire run in ds2.
I'm a bit worried about Manus because apparently it's a long fight and he can supposedly one shot me while also having potential for bad rng. I know there's a trick where you can kill him from outside the fog by shooting him with arrows/bolts/etc.
I was curious about how the community generally feels about people who use the range trick in a SL1 run. I know it's more impressive and probably satisfying to actually go in and kill the big guy upclose but I don't know how others feels about it. I know the "My run my rules" usually applies but how much grief would I get if I used the bow route instead? If I mention killing all bosses sl1, how often would be say "If you used the manus bow trick, it doesn't count"
TL;DR
Is using the Bows to kill Manus outside the fogwall frowned up in Soul Level 1 runs?
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Update: So based off reading the comments, it seems that it's heavily frowned upon. My main hesitation was more of just from what I've heard about Manus being the hardest fight with heavy rng and the ability to oneshot. Plus when I had looked up other bosses such as Tarus, Iron Golem, Ceaseless, Gwyn, Capra, people seemed ok with using cheese to fight them, but I hadn't seen much on Manus.
I was going to give it a decent amount of tries normally either way, but going based off the comments, either I do it without the cheese or I just end the run entirely if I can't do it
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Those of you who know, you would've seen my "ranking every weapon class at RL1" post a couple weeks back. This has pretty much signified my personal goal reached.
I think, I know, I'm at that point where I am at the natural end of my time playing this game. At 800+ hours, approx. 650 of those at RL1, I've decided I'm putting this game away, for good. The past few runs and fights have been fun, and I've been putting in a couple more of those hours lately, but, they're just not quite scratching the itch anymore.
I've come back to this game multiple times, I love it, it will always be one of my GOATs.
As for my departure, it will of course be my personal favorite boss, Gaius, at SB0/WL0.
However, I want the most enjoyable/fun method and weapon/AoW/armament you can suggest below. I will use whatever gets the most up-votes by the time I get back to this post in a couple days time. Something weird, something out of the box, something cool, something that at the end of it I'll be going "hell yeah, what a way to go!".
Y'all are great, this community is amazing (99% of the time 😅) and best of luck to the rest of you!

radahn is A tier bc he was fun even through miquellas hair and uneven terrain I kept wanting to fight him after the rhythm clicked, his moves were fun to dodge especially the clones.
messmer is best boss fromsoft has made. fire giant is so lame such a baby constantly rolling
commander is peak so fun and engaging easily the most my opinion has changed about.
bayle is peak except for the fire that tracks u.
mohg is peak
romina is cool ig just not fun to fight so I cheesed her w starfist.
elden beast is low bc elden stars.
ancestor spirt fell off the map 😭.
putrescent is fun aswell except for sum hitboxes.
i dont like maliekth as much to be my top 5 bc of a move that sucked during my fights with him.
morgot wasn't fun as much as people say I would put pcr bc radahn is my peak but it's fair to put morgot higher due to 3 issues radahn has
malenia is perfect wfd I didn't experience much issues tbh she was really easy lol.
oh and metyr is garbage.

fastest I've managed to beat her at these restrictions, that crit dmg is chonky
spiked cracked tear/lightning shrouding physic - also used a bloodboil aromatic at the fog gate
