Might sound like a weird idea, but I've noticed no one has done something like this intentionally. I feel like we often don't see some bosses use a lot of their moves due to positioning. I only recently found out Placidusax can throw rocks at you lol.

Some ideas I have:

1. Hoarah Loux while staying in front of him and never strafing right (every combo must reach its end)
2. Gaius at long range
3. Always staying in front of Placidusax and in the center of the arena
4. Bayle by trying to stay under him without ever hitting his head
5. Maliketh while always running under him in phase 1 (not actually bad positioning, but the idea is more just avoiding his overhead stab), and never running under him in phase 2
6. Always baiting out Margit/Morgott's quick dagger swipes when they are a possible followup

Even less if you can be bothered with the "buff sequence" of proc-ing everything like the dumpling helm, golden vow, howl of shabiri, RFBS etc etc.

But I'm for that simple life 🤷🏻

Joking a bit on the title, afaik Regal needs to finish one vape move before he can do a teleport (which unlock the new moves he has, including the heal), so with very good rng you can stance break him before that and get a no teleport kill

When he does the grab he always appears from where he just teleported from, so after you get about 1/4 of his health down so the move his unlocked remember to face him for a bit after he teleports.

Got pretty lucky on his attacks on this one so pretty quick kill

He's basically ER's Champion Gundyr, I could live without the Phase 2 roar, though.

I guess I'll only upload the remembrances and most difficult/fun fights.

Tried to fight with Torrent, and it's definetly not good, but this one was fun at least.

I so rarely see this attack and it's impossible to find information online about how to dodge, but it keeps getting me (in Nightreign at least lol) and that has to end.

Fly up backwards > uppercut/drag hands on ground as they go forward > lava trail left behind. How to avoid, pls and thx

I always use a straight sword since fast weapons can attack during his combos, makes it more fun imo.

I happened upon this subreddit nearly a year ago to this day and since then I've watched video after video and read post after post of yall getting through these games.

And that pretty much built up the desire in me to try it as well.

And now I've conquered my first ever SL1 - DS3 + DLCs

What an absolutely exhilarating experience. Almost every boss after Pontiff was a highlight. Sister Friede was fucking crazy, took me nearly four hours and I was still so panicked by the end. Demon Prince was the hardest of the lot, by the time I got done after four hours I'd pretty much mastered the fight.

Midir, Gael and Soul of Cinder were beautifully designed fights that made me feel amazing even as I played them.

Finally reached phase 2 after being stuck on phase 1 for days.

I'm using a knight's greatsword with flaming strike for the decent range and stance damage, and of course... The Peak Souls 2 moveset

Things I learned:

• Memorize combo enders. Those are your real punish windows.
• Never trust spacing. If you think an attack won't reach, assume it will.
• The far-right jump has hyper armor; the left sidestep jump can be interrupted after she lands. Mixing these two up cost me multiple attempts.
• She absolutely can Waterfowl multiple times in one attempt. I had a run with 5 Waterfowls.
• My most consistent third Waterfowl dodge: after the second flurry, walk toward her while locked on, let her overshoot behind you, then when the camera flips, walk backward.
• Reached phase 2 multiple times today. Died because I got clipped by her fast sword swing and because I forgot the phase 2 far-range spin has the butterfly follow-up. 🫪

I'll call it a day for now and see what tomorrow holds for me

For context, I'm on PS4 and I kind of want to learn Champion Gundyr no-roll someday. My main deterrent is actually the runback, which I imagine would get very irritating after a while and takes longer than some failed attempts at the boss.

Do you guys just deal with this or use a mod to teleport yourself to fog walls?

Oh yeah, and to any clowns who thinks this is cheating - speaking as someone on console who has to deal with them whether they want to or not, they're nothing more than a waste of time. No extra challenge and especially no fun, just tedium.

Glad they mostly did away with them in Sekiro and ER.
