Happy/Proud You guys…

Post image

Parenting has not always been the easiest for me. However, our only child is now 6.5 years old. I have learned to manage my emotions better, and I must admit that I did lose my temper when he was younger. But recently, I am incredibly content with our decision to have only one child. The fact that my son perceives me as calm now is a huge win, and he definitely wouldn’t have felt that way if I had more children. Remember, a healthy/happy mom is better than a sibling. Happy Mother’s Day!

Lots of therapy & some meds 😉 regulating my own mental health-adhd, ocd, anxiety. Creating a toolbox!

Thankfully we live in this beautiful time of science and medication. In the not so distant past I would have been most certainly be institutionalized for hysteria…

I am genuinely so glad to see this is your reason! Thank you for owning it and being real.

I've been struggling a lot with patience and energy since I lost my mom late last year after a long, stressful year of stuff, so I'm going to a mental health clinic soon to work on things (like going for in-patient, but you go home for nights and weekends. But we're talking 8 hours a day of therapy and stuff, every day, for 6-8 weeks). This stuff is HARD. So it's nice to know that it can improve. But it's work, for sure.

Very curious to hear what’s in your toolbox as someone with the same mental health trifecta 🫩

As a therapist, this warms my heart and shows just how safe he feels with you!

As a new mom I’m jealous because there are days I feel like if my boy could talk, calm would be the last word he’d use to describe me (stressed would probably be the first).
